It’s Witness Wednesday!
Todd talks with Michael and Thomas on campus at Kennesaw State University. Simple questions turn into deep conversations about Christianity and true, saving faith. This engaging episode is packed with reflective dialogues that challenge and inspire listeners to think about their spiritual journeys.
SEGMENT 1
• Michael claims he’s a Christian but struggles to explain what salvation really is.
• Todd exposes the gap between simply saying you believe and understanding sin, judgment, and grace.
• The courtroom analogy surfaces a shocking question: Innocent… or guilty?
SEGMENT 2
• Michael insists God would still call him innocent because He is forgiving.
• Todd explains why mercy without justice would make God unjust.
• The gospel is clearly presented: sin debt paid, record cleared, righteousness given.
SEGMENT 3
• Michael defines salvation as things that we can do.
• Todd corrects the confusion: new birth comes from grace, not effort.
• Todd asks: What’s stopping you from surrendering today?
SEGMENT 4
• Thomas trusts baptism and moral effort to secure heaven.
• Todd dismantles “saved by works” with the law and courtroom example.
• Thomas hears the gospel: Jesus pays, we receive by faith.

Segment 1
• Matthew bases salvation on “being good” and repentance through Roman Catholic sacraments.

Segment 2
• Todd presses Matthew on Ephesians 2:8–9, challenging his belief that works and sacraments contribute to salvation.
• Matthew struggles to reconcile Catholic teaching with Scripture’s claim that salvation “is a gift… not of works.”
• Todd introduces imputed righteousness, Christ’s perfect record credited to the sinner.

It seems to me the so-called serenity prayer is something that touches the idea of God sovereignty but puts man's works ahead of it.
THE CHURCH IS ISREAL! Jesus is the NEW COVENANT! Jews HATE Christ and are OF THEIR FATHER THE DEVIL! They are the SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN. They are EVIL INCARNATE! You stand with Isreal than yoy support evil.
Pray impossible things.... I AM listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!
loved the sarcasm!
Todd Z. Friel ("Z." for "Zaxby's")
"He explains that his previous teaching weren’t biblical." huh? Work on your English.
i
bummer, Todd's audio didn't pick up at all on this one. only Jimmy and commercials. :(
Is the audio quality off for anyone else?
Man, first there were no episode descriptions, then there were great bulleted descriptions, and now they are waaaay too long. It would be best to get a short description again to get a quick idea of what the episode covers. Now it just takes too long to read :-(
wait, the ribs, if certain ribs are removed, they grow back.
I hope this comment gets to Todd's never-before-nicotine-stained-hands
you're so kind at not telling Jimmy how loud he has the smackeys.
*pastors, not "pastors", because that's what they are
I have OCD and was slowly improving but it wasn't until a deep dive into the bible and a biblical support group that I finally quit performing rituals just over 2 years ago. Phillipians 4:6-7 was extremely helpful. Knowing that God's peace could replace my anxiety was life changing.
Good job, Todd. keep it up!
yes! another helpful one, Todd! I have been recently looking for dedicated books on disagreeing with your bro or sis in Christ in a biblical way. know if any? maybe you can write a book on the subject...and add thoughts from Phil Johnson :-))
can I have a link to that sermon by rc Sproul? thanks!
