Oh my, how the tables have turned. If you’re a major character in House of the Dragon, you probably had a monumental shift in at least one relationship in this episode. Maybe you went from pulling the strings to having your son kick you to the curb? Or maybe your brother, who you were so happy to see, twists the knife to remind you that the kid you didn’t raise is doing great and is super hot? Or maybe you went from trying to advise your petulant son against being too involved to missing the days of his rule because turns out his brother is even worse? And that’s just Alicent!   Jason and Rosie are here to break down all the baby dragons, the wild dragons, the dragons who shall not be tamed (or maybe?), and of course, whatever the hell is going on with Daemon and Alice Rivers! Plus, we revisit our scorecard and ask whether or not Team Green is going to find a way to hold onto this lead in the coming weeks.   Stay tuned all week for our Deadpool & Wolverine coverage! But wait, who’s that creeping out from behind the cave? It’s our X-Ray Vision Jedi Council! Jason and Rosie bring in producers Joelle, Aaaron, and Abu to dig into the highs, the lows, the moments that made us gasp, and where The Acolyte left us wanting more. Then, the crew ranks the live action Star Wars shows. Stay tuned next week for Deadpool & Wolverine week! Welcome to the aftermath of the Battle of Rook’s Rest! Aegon looks extra crispy, Aemond is in the driver's seat, and town folk in King’s Landing are starving – they can’t survive off moldy oranges and a dragon’s head. Daemon is still being Harrenhalled big time. Find out what Jason & Rosie have to say about it all, plus we have a weekly check-in with the scorecard. Who’s in the lead? Team Green or Team Black? Listen to find out! And boy oh boy do we get a lot of dragon action this week! While the Greens and the Blacks might be struggling with familial unrest, we’re united on one front: we still don’t like Criston Cole! Jason and Rosie catch up on the spooky happenings at Harrenhal, and why you should never take a drink from a witch. And in the backmatter we check-in with the scorecard and hear a hot take from Jason!   Follow Jason: twitter.com/netw3rk   Follow Rosie: IG & Letterboxd    Follow X-Ray Vision on Instagram Join the X-Ray Vision Discord See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Isn’t it nice being back in the Riverlands? Jason and Rosie take a break from all the warfa…oh wait, never mind war is everywhere! This episode has it all; windmills surrounded by dead bodies, leaky castles, and wide open fields that provide absolutely NO cover from dragons! And maybe all this bad real estate is why so many characters are on the move this episode, including the reunion of two of our most important characters. And for our omnibus, Jason breaks down some of the most interesting characters to serve as Hand of the King.   Follow Jason: twitter.com/netw3rk Follow Rosie: IG & Letterboxd  Follow X-Ray Vision on Instagram Join the X-Ray Vision Discord See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Then, it’s time to breakdown the Acolyte Episode 5. We finally get to say hello to the face behind the mask, but we also say goodbye to some of our favorites. They recap the episode from top to bottom and then explore what questions Osha and company are left with in the aftermath. Then, Jason and Rosie are joined by our very own Elden Ring Correspondent, Aaron Kaufman, for a breakdown of the new DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. I was excited to see this pod back in August. I had hoped it would be just a general nerdiness/pop culture pod. I am disappointed to see that all but maybe 2 episodes are disney. And it's mostly marvel, too. Nothing against marvel characters but there have been several noteworthy shows/movies that have been released/hyped in this span of time(other than Dune and fandome). No offense my dudes but you're kinda coming off as disney shills to me. Unsubscribing. :(

Awesome show. really well thought out. You can tell the host does really good prep to keep it structured and have specific talking points. Not every episode is for me but that's usually cause I haven't watched that show or read that comic and don't want spoiling. Love the deep dive on the 'origin of' sections like the one on samurai movies influencing star wars. Great stuff 👏 👍
