In which X7 takes us to the land of the Moab Giants, and has a lot of fun doing it. This made the entire trip to Moab worth it! Let's roll!
In which Xy wants us to know he did NOT talk the ears off Jeffrey (not his real name) at the visitor center of Utahraptor State Park today! See, he can learn some dino-manners (play on words there, you know)! Utah is a beautiful state, but 7 is ready to go back to good ol' Fossil Bed! Let's roll!
In which X7 takes a look at the remake of the classic Land of the Lost (1974) series. For some reason, Krofft Productions thought it would be a good idea to remake the whole thing in 1991. It is not the worst kid's show ever, and does have some great dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. However, the scripts are a bit lacking. Take it for what it is, and it isn't too bad.
In which X7 takes a look at the Roy Chapman Andrews book All About Dinosaurs. This book was ubiquitous in dinosaur-loving kids' libraries for at least thirty years. X7 has had several copies himself, generally donated from older kids who somehow outgrew their love of dinosaurs. We blame sportsball for that unique phenomenon. Take a trip back to 1953 and the Gobi Desert! And yes, that is the cover of the book X7 owns.
In which X7 reviews a seminal book from his wee agenthood, 1977's From the Land Beyond Beyond (Jeff Rovin, author)! There were two copies there that day at the much missed City News here in Fossil Bed, and I got one. A certain "genius" got the other one, and that is how we met a few days later. Math class improved a lot after that!
In which X7 talks lovingly about a wonderful and super-scary movie, NIght/Curse of the Demon! He really can't say enough good things about it, so don't expect too much critical commentary! Let's roll!
In which X7 gives his thoughts about the homage-parody movie Kung Fury! He likes it (spoiler) overall, but could it sustain an actual feature movie? Listen and find out! Let's roll!
In which we return to our regular programming, and X7 tries to look at the Spanish movie, Sound of Horror! We are taking a guess at the actual production date, as there are discrepancies about the release. Let's dig into this movie!
This is a bonus episode about the passing of Ace Frehley. He meant a lot to many people, including our humble agent. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this time. Rest in Peace, Ace.
In which X7 looks at the next four episodes of the excellent serial Zorro's Fighting Legion (1939)! The action ramps up here, and the plot moves further along. Let's ride!
In which X7 reviews a book he has had in his dinosaur library since 1971- The How and Why Wonder Book of Dinosaurs! He has had it so long the illustrations are almost old friends now. It was pretty accurate at the time of publication, so it is fun to see how our understanding of these magnificent animals has come. Let's roll!
In which X7 takes a look at the strange but effective horror-monster-psychological thriller, The Attack of the Mushroom People, AKA Matango! It is not his favorite Toho movie, or even in his top ten non-Godzilla movies, but it is a very good film. Let's roll!
In which X7 looks at the next three episodes of The Savage Dragon cartoon series! The villains' names are still not easy, but the heroes are growing on our humble agent. Let's roll!
In which X7 talks about an ant invasion from 1954- THEM! Big-budget and great cast, it deserves all the accolades that it has gotten over seventy plus years. Lets roll!
In which X7 reviews the theatrical compilation movie Gatchaman The Movie (1978). It is an easy introduction to the series, and is a lot shorter than watching 105 episode of said series! Let's roll- Bird Go!
In which X7 talks about the ridiculously fun Elvira, Mistress of the Dark movie- her debut! Sure, he does have a very slight connection to Elvira, but that doesn't mean he has to like the movie! Watch and find out how!
In which X7 begins his review of the ONLY serial that featured Diego de la Vega as Zorro, Zorro's Fighting Legion (1939)! It is a Republic serial, meaning it has a lot of great fights and stunts! Let's ride!
In which X7 delves into the fascinating world of mail-order! These are actual items that were sold to kids all over the United States via comic books and monster magazines! They promised a lot... but we only knew a few friends who ever ordered anything, so we never knew if they were for real. Let's find out now!
In which X7 talks about the way Equinox impacted the film industry, albeit in ways the creators never imagined! The movie is pretty fun, kinda, but the effects take precedence over the story (sound familiar?) but who is watching for the story? Let's roll!
In which X7 starts a new animated series review, 1995's take on The Savage Dragon! So far it is interesting, though if you have read the comics, you might know how the episodes will play out. X7 has never seen this series before, so this is brand new to him! Let's roll!
