Description

Pat Whalen is a lifelong comic book geek.
Mike Field is a filmmaker and storyteller.

So naturally, a bulk of their conversations surround the world of the Marvel movies. Some consider the MCU one of the greatest achievements in modern-day filmmaking and others just think they’re comic book movies.

Each episode they'’ll tackle one film and discuss the differences between the comic book and what’s on-screen. They’ll explore the growth of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from its inception to present day and beyond. And have a little fun along the way. You may not have asked for it, you certainly don’t need it, but you’ll be happy they’re here…we think. This is Yet Another MCU Podcast.

With a supporting cast of Liv Tyler, William Hurt, Tim Roth and Ty Burrell. (Yes, he's in this movie)Pat Whalen and Mike Field return to connect the pieces from the last Hulk movie to this one and beyond, as Pat fondly remembers one of his favorite action scenes in the MCU - The college campus battle. Jackson as Nick Fury and, of course, we get to meet one of Pat and Mike's favorite MCU characters - Justin Hammer played with great results by Sam Rockwell. The Justin Hammer love is palpable, but Pat and Mike also get into some of pressing issues with this sequel to widely successful, Iron Man. They examine a movie and a franchise that is trying to tell a story and set up countless more. But regardless, the MCU train is picking up speed and a drunken fight between Iron Man and Iron Patriot can't stop it.Follow Yet Another MCU Podcast on Instagram or check us out at Forgotten Entertainment.

They both debate who's the main character in this movie, Iron Man or Captain America and also try to figure out who represents the audience in the movie, Coulson or Hill.Stay for Mike's disbelief in how Coulson continues on in the MCU after the events of this movie. Bonus Phase. Episode 2.We're back for one more short bonus episode to talk about the rise of Marvel Studios. What did they do?! Don't worry. Pat Whalen walks you through the early years, while Michael Field provides zero insight whatsoever except trying to figure out how many people will end of playing Spider-Man when its all said and done. But we all know, Marvel Studios is only just beginning. You can find us on Instagram and we're also part of the Forgotten Entertainment family.

For some reason, there's a tangent about the movie Rob Roy starring Liam Neeson, Jessica Lange and Tim Roth. But quickly the duo guides their way back to wonder how extremis not only can make you stronger, but cooler as well as Aldrich Killian goes from zero to hero (but not, because he's the bad guy)And we haven't even talked about how Iron Man's movies and the Spider-Man as well love playing with bad guys that re really disgruntled employees. It's Thor: The Dark World starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Rene Russo, Christopher Eccleston and directed by Alan Taylor.Pat has trouble finding a whole heckuva a lot to like about this movie, while Mike finds a lot of convenience in the plot development in order to move the story forward. It's a bit odd that the focal point of all the nine realms just happens to be in London where all the supporting cast of the movie are also just happening to be working....but we digress. There is some good stuff in this movie as the ever-growing brotherly relationship between Thor and Loki strengthens and deepens in its complexity. And we get to see Frigga kick some serious butt...if she's not long for the MCU. (Spoilers!)Enjoy the episode! You can find us on Instagram, Twitter and at Forgotten Entertainment.

He talks about the last 45 minutes and how they betray the first two acts of the movie. Also, Pat introduces Field to the world of the Canadian Avengers! And, of course, the movie's clear cut association with Three Days of the Condor and other 70s spy movies doesn't go unnoticed by the trio. Enjoy the episode!
Phase 2. Episode 4.We are shooting off into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper. Directed by James Gunn. The galaxy is under the threat of invasion? Sure! It's going to take a rag-tag group featuring two thieves, an 80s-loving scavenger and a potential villain to stop it from happening.
