Hello my friends! Welcome to this episode of the Yoga Live podcast. Today I'm talking to Annie, a yoga instructor who just moved from Denver, Colorado to Northern California. You know how they say, "change is the only constant in life"? This episode really got me thinking about the many ways that yoga practice can support our lives as they shift and grow. Annie has been studying and practicing yoga for many years, in many phases of life - or should I say, evolutions of life. Most intriguing to me in this conversation is to hear how yoga has been there for Annie all along their journey. As you listen to this episode, you'll hear themes like: Yoga is more than physical movement - specifically, what is yoga when you lose your mobility? Yoga as a vast body of knowledge - an ages old, comprehensive system that was designed to help us to relieve suffering How yoga helps us to discover ourselves - identity, gender, and more And how can we figure out what yoga is for US? How can we find our path, and begin to live it - even if that starts as a series of tiny changes Tune in to hear their story, and make sure to catch the next episode for a meditation practice with Annie! Welcome to this episode of the Yoga Live podcast. Today I'm talking to Cassandra, who is a fellow yoga instructor here in Denver, Colorado. Cassandra created Honest Haven Yoga Studio here in Denver, where she teaches multiple styles of yoga classes and trainings out of her backyard greenhouse yoga studio. This was such a fun conversation. We talk about many things, including: teaching yoga in a greenhouse practicing at home versus a yoga studio (or what we call "home practice" in the yoga world) creating space for your yoga practice (and your life) to evolve bodily autonomy how yoga helped Cassandra to hold space for herself in her health journey and so much more! Cassandra talks about her health journey, where she battled with an undiagnosed illness for eight years. But after making a career change and working at an acupuncture clinic, she finally got the answers she needed and the right treatment for her illness. Cassandra's story is really inspiring, especially for anyone who's gone through health challenges and found healing through alternative therapies like yoga and acupuncture. Tune in to hear her story, and make sure to catch the next episode for a meditation practice with Cassandra! Thank you for joining us on this episode of the Yoga Live Podcast!
