You Already Know.

This podcast is about freedom. How to achieve it, and what to do with it. Even though many of us think that doing and being whatever we want will make us happy, that's not often the case. We’ll be more likely to be pleased and fulfilled when we are aligned with what we were created to do and be. I'll share tools and mental models that can be used as flashlights to navigate the uncertainty that comes along with having choices. Some questions we'll explore are: 1. how to live in harmony with yourself, your family, your community, and nature 2. how to avoid false freedoms that eventually limit your true freedom 3. How to choose your priorities and manage expectations. I trust that we will be divinely guided, divinely protected, and divinely loved in this journey. If you want to believe in yourself, others, God, the organizations you are a part of, the causes you choose, and whatever is meaningful to you, this podcast is great for you. Welcome to the beautiful experience of believing and achieving.

This podcast is about freedom. How to achieve it, and what to do with it.The irony is that it takes a lot of self-control to practice freedom.I'm Mariam Al Kindi, host of the You Already Know podcast.I've been interested in the concept of freedom for a long time. The first question I ever remember asking was about freedom. I was four or five years old, and my mom told me of an all-knowing being that created us and everything else. Mid-conversation, my Dad held my hand and took me out for an errand. I asked him if God knows everything that happened and will happen, does that mean that we're like robots? Are we in a video game? My parents didn't seem to have the answers I was looking for, and I'm grateful that they didn't because that allowed me to explore and discover. Now almost 30 years later, I learned quite a bit, and I'd love to share my findings with you. Some of these are that we're not robots and we aren’t in a video game, yet sometimes it can seem so. And that freedom is a tool, not the ultimate goal.Even though many of us think that doing and being whatever we want will make us happy, that's not often the case. We’ll be more likely to be pleased and fulfilled when we are aligned with what we were created to do and be.I'll share tools and mental models that can be used as flashlights to navigate the uncertainty that comes along with having choices. Some of the questions we'll explore are:how to live in harmony with yourself, your family, your community, and with naturehow to avoid false freedoms that eventually limit your true freedomhow to choose your priorities and manage expectationsThere's something limitless within you and me that seems to already know. That searches for the light and wants to see the truth, something that loves beauty and longs for connection. It's our souls. Our souls love to be reminded of what they already know. May these messages serve as reflections of the light, the truth, the beauty, and the connection that's within us.I trust that we will be divinely guided, divinely protected, and divinely loved in this journey. To connect and discover more, visit LiveAndLoveBetter.com.
