The conversation then extends to questions around what constitutes theatre, what the young people have learned during the programme and how theatre can be more accessible for young and disabled people. Young Critics is a programme set up by Youth Theatre Ireland in which 20 youth theatre members from around the country aged 16 to 20 learn awareness and appreciation of the aesthetic of theatre, and how to describe, analyse and judge it. The Young Critics members recently watched 2 productions done by Outside the March Theatre company, which were part of a 4 piece anthology called The Stream You Step In. In this podcast, 4 Young Critics members examine one of these pieces, called The River of Forgetfulness.  Youth Theatre Ireland's Young Critic Aoife Murphy shares her critique of Dead Centre's Young Critic Aoife Murphy. This is a review of the Oct 3rd performance as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.

In this short review, Killian Reid reviews Rough Magic Theatre Company's production of Much Ado About Nothing. It played at the Backstage Theatre in Longford in November 2019. Killian is an active member of Backstage Youth Theatre, in Co. Longford, Ireland. He is a participant of Youth Theatre Ireland's Young Critics Programme for 2020.
