On the brink of Dreamforce 2025, dignomica's Stuart Laughlan caught up with r.Potential CEO Greg Shewmaker to hash out the transition to a new world of Digital Labor, and the changes that entails for organizations as they deepen their AI initiatives.
UiPath’s SAP transformation became a use case for automation-first ERP - achieving a 93% clean core and scaling finance 7x revenue without adding headcount. But what does “agentic ERP” really look like in practice? Can AI agents work alongside humans and robots without adding risk? And what lessons can technical founders take from scaling UiPath from Bucharest to a global platform? Listen to CEO Daniel Dines in conversation with diginomica’s Alyx MacQueen.
Sage's 2017 purchase of SaaS finance innovator Intacct has become one of the most improbable acquisition stories in the history of enterprise software. Our hot seat guest, Sage CTO Aaron Harris, was in the middle of all of it. But bringing multi-tenant finance innovation to the rest of Sage was just the beginning. Now SaaS faces a disruptive challenge of its own, via the rise of agentic AI. How has Harris and team responded? And what has Harris learned from customer AI adoption? In our latest podcast, Jon Reed of diginomica digs in.
Acumatica is at a crossroads - and so is cloud ERP. Acumatica CEO John Case joins diginomica's Jon Reed to take on the tough questions facing ERP vendors: can ERP withstand AI disruptions? Is modern ERP an oxymoron? Why is ERP for industry verticals the new imperative? Case makes his case for Acumatica's differentiating approach.
AI adoption is a topic of conversation that dominates every tech agenda in 2025, with views ranging from evangelical fervor through to the ‘Robots are coming to steal your job’ Armageddon peddling. For Freshworks CEO Dennis Woodside, there’s a different way of looking at the issue. Woodside joins diginomica's Stuart Lauchlan to probe further.
There's no doubt that AI is bringing big changes to the software industry, and is likely to have a huge impact on society at large. At business software vendor Zoho, those changes have meant that, after more than 25 years as CEO, co-founder Sridhar Vembu has moved over to take on the role of Chief Scientist, leading the company's R&D efforts, particularly around AI. In this Executive Intelligence episode, Vembu and diginomica's Phil Wainewright delve into where AI is headed, and how Zoho aims to differentiate.
In this podcast, Marc Benioff discusses how he and other CEOs of today are set to become the last generation to manage a human-only workforce and the organizational implications involved.
In our diginomica podcast channel reboot, we kick off with a couple of "best of" episodes from Jon Reed's "Busting the Omnichannel" podcast series - with a quick intro from Jon on our upcoming plans for the diginomica channel. Acumatica has been a influential vendor in the cloud ERP midmarket - but does AI change the equation? Were there surprises on the ground in Vegas? Time to make sense of an important Acumatica Summit, but with a plot twist: Jon Reed was home in his bat cave, slugging down Vitamin C, while Brian Sommer grabbed an outdoor chair prior to his takeoff from Vegas. Jon gets into why Acumatica matters and asks Brian: what stood out this year? Was the AI narrative convincing? What did Brian hear that we didn't pick up on via the news announcement? Brian reveals the pesky questions he asked Acumatica execs, and we discuss how Acumatica is contending with its growth - a good problem to have, but nonetheless something to be tackled.
In our diginomica podcast channel reboot, we kick off with a couple of "best of" episodes from Jon Reed's "Busting the Omnichannel" podcast series - with a new intro from Jon on our upcoming plans for the diginomica channel. From Jon: "At ASUG Tech Connect 2024, for the first time, I hosted a joint podcast collaboration with the ASUG Talks team - to be issued on both of our platforms. Joining me in for a live podcast taping were familiar suspects: ASUG CEO Geoff Scott and analyst Josh Greenbaum. But this time around, we had a live audience - and pulled them into the conversation. The audience had a choice of an Enterprise Architect or AI focus. They chose Enterprise Architects - and, I think, for good reason. Effective AI is probably not possible for enterprises without the right data platform and Enterprise Architect approach. I think you'll agree that hearing so many articulate real world questions from the audience made this podcast a standout, and I'll look to do that again this year where possible. And, of course, we covered AI also - that topic always finds its way in."
