This is my 1am set at Resonance, a lovely festival held down by the sea in Karamea, the closest you can get to heaven on earth. A bit of a shaky start (i was pushing a little too hard, too early) but bear with me and it evolves into a cracker of a dance session. By the end the tops were off and sweaty bodies were bouncing around screaming with happiness. We start off at around 128 bpm, steadily shifting up to finish at 147. The final track is one of my all time favourites, "martian arts', by Tristan. Still an awesome tune, despite the years since its release. This Mix contains a drug reference. Peter dusted off the transmitter and cranked BluTree FM back into life for the week, so it was time for another session. Hot on the heels of a much needed all night party, i decided to keep with the 3am energy, and put out an unashamed full on set, with just a short lead into the 135+ bpm. Part two! No nasty surprises in these tracks. I do love a good remix. Still not quite over Pretty Light's mean mean ending to the fly like an eagle remix in part one. In this section we wander up to the higher end of the mid-tempo range from a cruisy start, making sure to check into the swing lounge every now and again to stop the beats getting too relentless, then leaving before the trumpets get tired.
