iAdvocate Radios an outreach of Attorneys for Special Needs Children and ElderLaw Advocates, with a mission to raise awareness and motivate action in guardianship Nationwide. Candy Schwager, founder and Director of ELA and AFSNC, is a 16 year Texas Attorney practicing civil rights, probate, guardianship, special needs, family law, and disability practice. After working under the best civil litigation lawyers in the State for more than 10 years, Schwager left big firm practice to advocate for the rights of the disabled, starting with children in public schools via the IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This led to Candy's certification as a Texas Attorney Ad Litem / Guardian Ad Litem in probate and guardianship law--an inconceivably abusive area of law run by a veritable mob of lawyers and doctors who routinely violate the rights of the elderly and disabled for profit, while calling it protection. After only 4 cases in guardianship, Candy's journey has turned towards federal court to enforce the civil rights of "people" who have become hostages of the State "under color of State law."
Sherry Johnston joins Candy as co-host. Sherry lost her mother, Willie Jo Mills, in 2014, who literally starved to death as the Judge denied her attorney (Candy's) emergency motions for injunctive to help her. Willie Jo's Memory has motivated Sherry to devote her life to this work. Sherry is currently planning to take us live on Television and Radio and more will be revealed. We took a long break but begin again, inviting Amy Speed-Rauch and Tim Smith to join us for special needs radio as well. Join us to discuss the CONTROVERSIAL HB5 sponsored by Florida Senator Kathleen Passidomo in a multi-part series of radio broadcasts hosting key Florida advocates for and against this Bill, including Kevin Pizzarello, Barbara Stone, Doug Franks, and Sam Sugar of Americans Against Abusive Probate Guardianship. HB5 is unique, in that, advocates against the corrupt, abusive practices inherent in court appointed guardianship--simply cannot find middle ground to even concede whether the BILL is good or bad for FLORIDA's elderly and disabled at risk of guardianship. Tonight, Kevin Pizzarello will explain why he believes this Bill is BAD NEWS. The Panel will attempt to flesh out the potential pros and cons of HB5 because the reality is that almost ALL BILLS, federal or state, contain both. In an effort to get a BILL passed such as this, both sides must compromise to get it passed. Most understand the objectionable provisions that end up in an otherwise acceptable BILL as "pork." But in the context of the unimaginably abusive world of private professional court appointed guardianship, is there any room for pork? Is this BILL a good thing for the residents of Florida or is Little Red Riding Hood skipping along lackadaisically as the big bad wolf eats grandma? She'll soon find out. Be sure to listen Sunday as we interview Sam Sugar, an unlikely proponent for HB5 and find out what Sam knows that we are possibly missing. Anyone interested is invited to weigh in by calling the show but be forewarned, we will ONLY BE TALKING about HB5, its merits and/or lack of merit. Personal attacks and/or accusations will not be tolerated. If we are to win this war, a united front is not negotiable. We must all be cognizant of the fact that the "wolves" running this enterprise have every intention of making it "national" so this issue extends far beyond FLORIDA'S borders. Doug joins Candy to reveal how even the best laid estate planning isn't worth the paper it's written upon because it's standard practice for greedy corrupt guardians to accuse heirs and family falsely so they are disqualified by Courts from serving. Sherry and I enjoyed this show immensely, as we were educated from a pro Court Room Blogger, Kris Hood, and A+++ Probate & Civil Rights Attorney Phil M. Ross on the ins and outs of recusal and reversing decisions of Texs Probate Judges with respect to Trusts and Guardianship! Mr. Ross is truly gifted and we are so blessed to have been quiet long enough to hear him share his insight and victories with us, giving more families hope that the tide in guardianship has indeed changed and it's time for Families, period. Thank you Debbie Valdez (G.R.A.D.E.), Phil M. Ross, and Kris Hood- for joining us and sharing the story of Mr. Jack Hood, a quite spunky 90 year old Veteran who wasn't going to take this lying down! Go Jack! As a caveat, we acknowlege the many gifted judges of integrity, who inspire us every day to reach higher and work harder and preface this program with the statement that the views of our guests are not necessarily our own. Join Candice and Debbie Valdez as we host Ione McGinty to discuss an extreme example of Guardianship run riot, Pat Davis.oss of $50 million courtesy of the Texas Guardianship Program from 1984-2014. Davis settled a catastrophic injury case with General Motors in 1984, receiving $50 million to . Davis never even fathomed how the money would make him a prime target for exploitation by the State, until he was deemed an incapacitated ward of the State, stripped of his rights, and assigned a permanent guardian over his person and estate. As inconceivable as this may seem, his $50 million estate has been leveled to almost zero by the blood-sucking leeches appointed by the Court for "his protection and welfare." Welfare is certainly where they've placed him, but not at all what the Legislature had in mind when it created the guardianship system. This is a must hear program! Wow, the President of the Republican Party in Texas faked the medical professionals and lied, saying they adopted him. Yeah, they did. Well, he's in guardianship by Doehne's son, Mark Doehne, a guy without much of a future until this brilliant idea. Pat's family was not notified, but they were very much estranged. Can we say theft and exploitation? His gracious guardian placed him at an ICFMR (for mentally retarded, developmentally disabled and he's not). He gets nothing. Not even visitors.

Candy & Amy hosted Scott and Ebonstorm to delve into the mystery of Aspergers Syndrome. Though these two men live across the continent from one another, the similarities were so amazing that they could have been brothers. Scott and Ebonstorm are tremendous advocates for Asperger's and will join us against next Saturday to enlighten and dazzles us with stories of their incredible personal journies and who knows? With those two together, a breakthrough for Asperger's. I cannot wait!
