Description
Welcome to iPositive Talk Radio, meaning “I am Positive” hosted by HIP HOP GROWS UP, Inc. founders Ms. Cece Morris and Ms. Talia Ashley. We understand it takes a village to raise a child; and our vision is to recreate this village.
Our goal is to not only reunite the village of parents/guardians, youth, educators, civic workers, entertainers, positive mentors and sages, but we are foremost gathered to firmly establish solutions to instilling the importance of academic, social, emotional, and spiritual education in our youth. And we must infuse a more favorable outlook in their spirits, letting them know, “They can be whatever great thing they choose to be.” And it is going to take the positive village to make this happen. Welcome to iPositive Talk Radio. Join us!

Mind Your Manna is text founded in God’s Grace. Each lesson in Manna allows readers to re-think and re-discover the origins of their purposes and the methods to implement the respective assignments directed by God. Readers will not only become clear in their goals, but also understand themselves better through more meaningful and powerful devotion with self and God. Manna is designed as a complement to Scripture, allowing for provision to carry-out goals and live an amazing life. “In their book, Mind Your Manna, Talia Ashley and Cecillia Morris walk us through preparation for projects and preparation for life, as well as the pain of delivering them both. They guide us through prayer, meditation, and pertinent scriptures to a state of constant joy, peace, and fulfillment. Their book intentionally directs the reader to the receiving of “Manna.” The Manna is not only food and daily provisions. It is also walking daily in the abundant life, through faith, in the presence of God. I thank them for sharing this ‘Bread of Heaven!’” John W. Culbreath, Ed.D., Retired School Superintendent and College Professor. Purchase Your Copy at:

The iPositive Talk segment called, "Taking the Bull Out of Bullying Part" can be found on youtube.com. But we had to bring the topic back to iPositive Talk Radio.
Bullying in Elementary, Middle, High Schools, in the work place, on television, among the politicians, and in your neighborhood has become far too prevelant; however let's not forget sibling bullying that filters over into schools, your neighborhood and the workplace. Dr. T.H. Madge is a full-time consultant who has committed her time and skills to assisting school districts in creating positive school environments. We welcome our special guest Dr. Tangela Madge a criminologist and educator who has worked in the capacity of principal, assistant principal, teacher, counselor, and was one of Southeast Georgia’s first in school probation officers. She holds degrees and certificates in criminology, teaching, school counseling, and educational leadership. Join iPositive co-hosts Cecillia Ce Ce Morris and Talia Ashley in "The Village" to discuss this hot topic.
The question speaks for itself. This is a necessary question to ask and be completely honest about. As a result of the recently published article in the Albany Herald, of Albany, GA titled, "HBCUs back off planned rally at Regents meeting," educators, students, administrators, supporters, and those who will become affilitated with all colleges must begin to discuss the answer to the title-question of this show. Is the future of the HBCU (Historically Black College and University) necessary, anymore?
This is a continuation of last week's episode, "Has Hip Hop REALLY Grown Up?" Hollywood, along with other big business entities, shape our society -- even globally. Unfortunately, we allow it. But if the gatekeepers continue to craft our dwindling society, it is because we allow it. We, the families - the citizens, are the keymasters and if we simply turn the key on the gatekeepers, much will change. We hold the key to changing Hollywood's decisions in what we see, hear, and feel from the entertainment industry -- so that our youth, our families, our world is influenced by better. The question is: what will we do now? Join the iPositive Talk Movement, with mother-daughter duo, Ms. Ce Ce and Talia. 678.528.3366

The title of today's iPositive Talk Radio show is obviously a quip at Adam Sandler's 1998 hit movie, "The Waterboy."

This is just another way of saying,''Love your neighbor, children, parents, life mate, all people as yourself!'' Jesus came to bear our burdens and carry away the stain and pain of our sin. (Read Isaiah 53 for a powerful description of God's Suffering Servant, a passage quoted in the New Testament in reference to Jesus.) God now asks us to live redemptively, in practical ways, toward those around us. More than just praying, or asking what we can do to help, we are called to serve, mentor, minister, and assist others who are burdened. Some quotes from "My Daily Verse." Join Us in the iPositive Movement!
We talk about the power of words that are spoken into reality. What about names that are given to us at birth; is their power in the name we are given or do names brand us for life? Join Us in the "iPositive Movement" in the Village for this discussion.
It is so important to invest in our children. Hip Hop Grows Up, Inc. believes and lives by this concept. And one of the many ways HHGU has taken to loving our children is through the creation of the R.A.N.K. Pep Squad, named by one of our mentees, Antwan Jackson. Jackson emphatically states, "RANK is an acronym for Removing All Negative Knowledge." R.A.N.K. is quickly taking the throne proclaiming itself as Hip Hop culture's official Pep Squad. Learn more about this journey of amazing young people today. Watch a sample video of our beloved RANK Squad here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g8YHv1r8s4
Our children need us -- let's talk about it! Specifically, in our inner-cities, many of our children can be described, as Curtis Mayfield so melodically phrased, "Little Child(ren) Running Wild." We must take better responsibility and show them the way. Join us in the village with our guests, Inspiring Married Couple (Mr. & Mrs Harris) as they discuss their choice to mentor young people in their neighborhood for over 25 years. We need more people like them. Despite the fact that some may say, "It Makes Me Wanna' Holla'," as Marvin Gaye sang many years ago, we must be accountable. After all, it takes a village to raise our children. Join us, (CeCe and Talia) in the village!
