The new @MagicShopRadio Show with my first guest Joe from @MisdirectionsMagic in San Francisco. He was an awesome guest and you’re gonna love this interview ! Also, a NEW regular segment by Magician and owner of TheMagicApple.com magic shop in studio city. His guest this week: Tannens Magic!
Daniel Eachus is a rising young star in the comedy world. Even at such a young age, Eachus has the chops of a comedy veteran and people are taking notice. Born and raised in Fresno, CA, he was surrounded by farms, but didn’t want to smell raisins for the rest of his life, so he turned to comedy to get him out. For college, Daniel’s wish came true and he left Fresno to study in Long Beach. By day, he was a student, by night he performed on the stand-up comedy circuit. After just one year of nightly performances, he became the youngest finalist ever in the “Funniest Comic in Los Angeles” contest held at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. He’s been entertaining audiences ever since. Eachus has been performing stand-up and improv throughout the nation’s clubs and recently was featured on Comedy Central’s “Up Next” and Sirius XM’s Comedy Central Radio. A finalist or winner in scores of comedy competitions including the World Series of Comedy, Up Next Regionals, Sacramento Comedy Festival (1st place winner), OC Improv Cup and more, he’s considering expanding his trophy shelf. But doing stand-up and improv is not enough for Daniel. When he’s not onstage making people laugh, he’s making people laugh at their screens. Daniel acts, writes, and produces the comedy sketch series, “Bigfoot Chasers”. He is a co-writer on a brand new Kevin Hart-Produced Series. He’s starred in 12 National Television Commercials, was featured on SpikeTV, and recently made his stand-up television debut on Fox and Hulu's “Laughs”.

She was selected as one of fifty women in Hollywood for “50 Women Can Change The World in Media & Entertainment.” She is also the owner and founder of “Heart on Fire Sarah J. Eagen Bio:  Sarah is a writer and SAG-AFTRA actor with a neuroscience degree. Sarah is currently a staff writer on the new scifi audio drama The Veil, produced by Voxx Studios and coming out in October, 2018. She was a finalist for the 2017 WIF/Blacklist Episodic lab, and one of her sitcom pilot scripts made it to the second round of the 2018 NYTVF Script Competition. You are a rock star for even reading this right now. If you are here you probably know me, but in the event you don't you can see some of my work here http://jennpage.com.) Most of you know that I was recently selected as one of 6 directors for the first ever Alliance of Women Directors Shoot 'Em Up. The six directors have been hand selected and are all professional working directors. The premiere screening is set to happen at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank in late October and it is an extreme honor to get to premiere at their theatre and with the 5 insanely talented directors making the other films. What you may not know is that as a filmmaker I've been lucky enough to direct several feature films, music videos, series for the web, live shows, and even a TV talk show. However, never have I had an opportunity like the one here before me now. The opportunity to screen a film at Walt Disney, to be a part of a series featuring other working women filmmakers and seen by high level industry guests. It's a very exciting time and my team and I are working hard to create the best film we can!  Moreover, we are telling a very important story about a woman who escaped horrific incidents in her homeland of El Salvador and now suffers from mental illness brought on by PTSD. She moves in with a family as a live in housekeeper and slowly starts to unravel. We explore the issues of immigration, mental health, and family. And it's all based on true events! We have been given a $1,000 grant by the Alliance of Women Directors to get us off and running. We are more than grateful for the grant and we are putting it to good use. However, it only scratches the surface. We still need money for meals, crew, props, wardrobe, camera gear, post-production services and more! When we say "every single dollar counts" it has never been more true! $1. $5. $10. $1,000! We'll take it all and put it all to great use.  We have LESS THAN ONE WEEK until we have to film this! Thank you for visiting the page and reading all of this and considering helping us! Wow this weeks show I got lucky! I was just talking to a group of actors about all the cheap commercials and films that large companies are making and how the actor is now just getting the crumbs of the productions, from non union and some union. It just seems with the advances of technology with filming and producing, the actors product (Acting) has gone backwards. We are paid less, productions are more unsafe than they have ever been. This got me thinking about doing a show on self producing, self mastery, AND I remebered that our friend of the show JennPage.com introduced me to some great motivators in the film and TV industry. So, I reached out to one of them Jenna Edwards an award-winning producer, and creator of Indie Movie Mastery Online Producing Course, and http://www.indiemoviemastery.com to come on the show and talk about what I called the PRO-Actor. Now this does not mean professional actor, it means the ProACTIVE actor ( #ProActor ) and how they can learn to take control of their career, and create their own opportunities. Listen to the weeks show, Jenna is great and truly inspiring. Jenna Edwards is an award-winning producer having been one of the first producers to ever do a “day and date” release with theaters and iTunes as well as being the first to ever produce a narrative feature for hulu.com. Her specialty is making sure the filmmaker is focused on their ultimate career goals while figuring out how each project helps to lead them on that path. Her passion is helping filmmakers figure out how to really make a living making the movies they want to make, that includes getting FULL FUNDING for their projects. She was a teacher at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and has recently become a #1 best-selling author. Check out Jenna’s Podcast at: https://toginet.com/shows/indiemoviemastery As the creator of the Indie Movie Mastery Online Producing Course, Jenna believes there’s a million ways to make a movie, but there are certain foundations that you must know in order to make it easier. She teaches those with a friendly sternness and a whole-lotta yellow in her self-study course available at Vimeo. Her personal dream is to see creative people really doing the projects that feed their souls because she believes that when your own light is being made brighter, you are able to shine that light more effectively on the world. This episode I traveled to Los Angeles to do my first live and in person interview of my guest. The focus of the show has shifted to hitting the road and getting upfront and personal with my guest. I had this thought in mind, because I love people and talking to to someone sitting across from you might be a thing of the past, but I am hoping it will make a comeback, sorry social media.  Now I have to tell you that although the idea was mine originally, I did get a nudge from todays guest. I contacted him on instagram and he basically said "No, why don't you come to me.." So I must give credit where credit is due!  Please sit back, relax, unless you are driving ... and listen to my conversation with Ajay Jhaveri Argentum Photo. Argentum Photo.  Argentum.com  Instagram.com/ArgentumStudios  Instagram.com/AjayJhaveri  Argentum Photo was created in 1987 by Ajay Jhaveri in a small room with one photo enlarger, four trays and no employees, located in the heart of the media district of Hollywood. As we enter the digital age, Argentum is constantely evolving and growing to provide actors with services they need. Have started as a print lab, Argentum has now added valuable actor services like retouching, selftape auditions, headshots, actor reels, actor scenes, actor websites. John Homa began his career in acting over 30 years ago at New York City’s Neighborhood Playhouse, studying directly under Sanford Meisner. The skills, knowledge, and experience he accumulated both in school and starring in off-Broadway plays such as A Streetcar Named Desire, led him to Los Angeles where he worked as both an actor and acting coach. With the critical success and notoriety that came from coaching Kirsten Dunst on Interview with a Vampire, following this John’s client list expanded to an impressive who’s who of Hollywood stars from Brie Larson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Michele Williams, Evan Rachael Wood, and even notable music icons turned actors like LeAnn Rimes, Rickey Martin, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, and Common. With the recent Academy Award win of Brie Larson, Michelle’s four Academy Award nominations, the Emmy and Golden Globe nominations from Kirsten Dunst and Evan Rachel Wood, John is proud and incredibly humbled to have personally and professionally impacted some of the most talented and influential artists of this craft. John was the on-set coach for ABC’s General Hospital for eighteens years and a host, judge, and resident acting coach for VH1’s reality competition Scream Queens. He has worked on the set of numerous features including Spanglish, Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire, Little Women, and The Rock. Recently, he has been on-set with Ricky Martin shooting the second season of Ryan Murphy’s hit American Crime Story.
This episode of ActingUpRadio.com I talked with standup comedian, writer, actor and man that wears many hats, but does NOT know his size... Daniel Eachus! I originally saw Daniel at a stand up club at a huge casino in the town of Temecula, California < an Oxymoron...  I knew right off the bat by watching him he was a lot bigger than the space he was playing in. He, and I am sure he hears this a lot, was by far the best comedian of the whole night, of course he was the ONLY comedian (rim shot) .. no he was not alone that night performing, but he was the headliner, and rightfully so. He smooth delivery and casualness ( not to be confused with the new style comedy called - I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK, COMEDY) was NATURAL, at ease and funny, and I rarely give that compliment to anyone ...other than myself ;).  sit back and listen to a fun show!
