Mondays are always difficult, especially after an epic weekend.. But here we are.
There's lots of news to discuss-- the latest on TFG's trial, possibly entering the homestretch, Alito must recuse (or be impeached.... and Clarence Thomas too!), the ICC is calling for the arrest of Hamas' leaders plus Netanyahu and Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. And lots more.
And since it's Monday, Jonathan Larsen joins in from The Fucking News with even more!
Today is Thursday, so we have our weekly get-together with Howie Klein of DownWithTyranny.com and the Blue America PAC. Last week, you may recall, Howie brought along a guest --Jersey City Mayor and already declared-candidate for NJ Governor in 2025 Steven Fulop. The conversation concerned the race to replace corrupt Sen Bob Menendez from NJ.
Fulop had reversed his endorsement of Tammy Murphy (wife of NJ's current governor who's being term limited out of office) in favor of Congressman Andy Kim. Hmm, Murphy dropped out of the race just a couple of days later....
Today, among other stories, I'll ask Howie about his experience with the former senator/would-be spoiler (via No Labels), and why his VP candidacy with Al Gore at the top of the ticket was the first time Howie didn't vote for the Democrats in a presidential election.
The end of this seemingly interminable election season is in sight... less than three weeks away. As important as it is to elect Kamala Harris & Time Walz as POTUS & VPOTUS, it's just as important to give them a Democratic controlled Congress so they can actually get meaningful work done.Today's Thursday, so we'll talk with Howie Klein of Down with Tyranny and the Blue America PAC about those congressional races and see how the Blue America-endorsed candidates are faring, and remind you who they are so you can vote for them too.

Also, yesterday, many of us who rarely if ever turn on the Fox (not) News Channel tuned in to two shows yesterday -- one billed as a "townhall" meeting with host Harris Faulkner and TFG; the other a sit down interview with VP Kamala Harris conducted by the guy who many who should know better call a real journalist, Brett Baier. After Baier's rude questioning and constant interrupting of our sitting Vice President, no one should make that mistake ever again.
It's a busy show today. While I was out in moving hell, the new term of the Supreme Extreme Court got underway. Today, our favorite legal expert Lisa Graves (DoJ & Senate veteran) joins in to let us know what's at stake at the court.
We'll also check in with Heathcare advocate Laura Packard who's currently on a Protect Our Care national bus tour which hits Tempe, AZ today and Phoenix tomorrow before moving on to CA, NV, CO, MI, WI, OH and PA....
We are now three weeks away from election day with, literally, the world at stake.
Today, I welcome journalist, author, podcaster, White House Correspondent and musician with the perfect snarky sense of humor, Brian Karem, back to the show. We'll delve into opposite world and beyond, including that very weird Town Hall Meeting turned disco dance party at which TFG answered a few questions then decided he'd rather be a DJ than president.
Weird is correct. Demented is probably more accurate...
We are moved. Well, we're out of the old house and all our stuff is at the new place. Now we get to put it all together.
My first task was rebuilding my studio. I somehow got it working well enough last Wednesday to interview Christopher Steele, and it crapped out on my on Friday while taping our Emptywheel Friday show with Marcy Wheeler.
So, I rebuilt the whole thing over the weekend and as I'm prepping for today's show, it seems to be working correctly. Please let me know if gremlins invade so I can try to exterminate them, once and for all!
Today is Indigenous Peoples Day. In some places, it's still referred to as Columbus Day, but we prefer to recognize the former...
It's also Monday when we usually speak with Jonathan Larsen of thefuckingnews.substack.com, but he's a bit under the weather today. So, we'll catch up...
Our move to a new home is almost complete, and things at the show should be back to our usual state of quasi-controlled chaos. Though I had the new studio somehow run smoothly for the Christopher Steele interview on Wednesday, the gremlins decided to make an appearance during today's taping with Marcy Wheeler.
So... it starts out ok, albeit with awful lighting on my end. And when I couldn't leave well enough alone and tried to adjust the lighting about 10 minutes in, the video software decided to mess with me... so we regrouped and did the rest of the show audio only.
That said, Marcy Wheeler of emptywheel.net and I had another great conversation about the state of the election, the media malpractice especially coming from the NY Times, and the lies that GOP is tripling down on. Enjoy!

Since we have one day left to get everything out of the old house and I still have a lot more work to do on this studio, I likely will not be on the air again tomorrow. I've been off the air all week due to the housing hell we're in. Long story short -- the place we had lined up to move into on Monday was yanked out from under us Saturday evening for no reason (I'll share all when this is over), so we've been frantically looking all week. We have to be out of here next week, and I've been dealing with panic attacks due to the stress.
So I was all the more grateful that today is Friday, and I get to find out what happened this week while I was otherwise unpleasantly distracted, and Marcy Wheeler is here to fill us all in.

Do you see Greene is copying that, saying any crazy shit to get retweets and mentions? Would you have mentioned her without her lunacy? Then can you see she does this deliberately? And just maybe, you fell for it? Please don't help her for the clicks and views, that's the deal so many influencers are greedily taking her up on.
