Our story begins on a cold, dark autumn eve as the stars in Selune's sky cast glittering lights on the restless wake of the Moonsea, like diamonds cast across a black veil. Our intrepid adventurers carry a precious cargo of Shadovar loyalists, plucked from captivity and scheduled execution by order of Lord Torin Nomerthal - the corrupt ruler of Hillsfar. After deftly infiltrating the walled city, the adventurers forged allegiances within the capital to locate and avoid detection by Torin's Red Plumes and the Red Wizards of Thay, who holed embassy within. The Libertine carves a sound wake through the watery seascape of the Moonsea, carrying our heroes and the Shadovar to Elua’s Lighthouse and safety. The Harpers send Chief Military Strategist, Garrick DuLac to collect their consort and the rescued loyalists. After debriefing with the Council of Nine and the Harpers on the status of their rescue mission, Merkesh, Ranquess, Fa’En, Tamasin and Chyna settle into the embrace of the City in the Trees and their new home. Hilrad the Patient, turns his attention to the new threat below Hillsfar and with the counsel of Tamasin, sends word to their allies who still remain in Hillsfar. Hello and welcome to Charisma Check! A new day dawns over Elventree to mark our heroes’ safe return. The Harpers, the Council of Nine, her citizens and the Shadowvar now place their hope for safety with the Hand of the Harp. Meanwhile, the call of song and lyric presents a temptation that Chyna is not likely to ignore.
