The Clonakilty Jazz Collective was formed 2 years ago. It has had a monthly Sunday afternoon residency in De Barra’s for nearly 2 years, and from this year it every Monday night in the front bar in O’Donovan’s Hotel. Thanks to both venues for their continued support of local talent! This gig was recorded live on Sunday the 12th of February 2017 in De Barra’s, and features the rhythm section of: Justin Brett on piano, Ron de Bruin on bass, Sebastien Revon on drums and Matt Hart on guitar; plus the vocal talents of Josephine Smyth; and some additional playing by: Moze Jacobs on baritone sax, Gary Hannon on trumpet and Kieran Burns on alto sax.

The artists who collaborated on the night include: Diarmuid Cahill(Clonakilty), Ben Dixon(New Zealand) Sadhbh Ní Shúilleabháin aka Sive(Co.Kildare), Jon Sanders(UK/Dingle), Anand Rose(Co.Tipperary) and Samuel Hagman (Switzerland).
