Paul was born with cerebral palsy and it was so severe that the doctors told his mom that he would never be able to walk. Thank goodness for a wonderful mom and a great mindset that wasn’t his story. He was able to overcome it and is now able to live a very active life. It wasn’t easy however to get to that point. I got to interview John Henry Parker.
J. H. Parker is a behavioral assessment analyst and writer who authors work about his own personal hero’s journey through trauma, grief, loss, recovery, and personal transformation.
He is a former U.S. Marine and the son of a Marine, Korean War, and Vietnam Combat Veteran. John’s son, Danny, was an Army Combat Veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division. Tragically, after completing his military service, Danny died in a high-speed, adrenaline-seeking motorcycle accident.
Through his writings, John is passionate about helping people who suffer from grief, loss, and trauma, including the families who support and care for them. He brings reality-based insights to the field of recovery and mental health.
