*** Content warning: Animal cruelty *** In May 2021, residents of the affluent Athens suburb of Glyka Nera were left shaken by news of a violent home invasion. The desperate search for those responsible led investigators down a path no one saw coming. --- Narration – Anonymous Host Research & writing – Milly Raso Creative direction – Milly Raso Production and music – Mike Migas Music – Andrew D.B. Follow and subscribe to Unfiltered on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts.  In 2021, I sat down and had a series of hour-long phone calls with the anonymous host of Casefile, or “Casey,” as he’s been dubbed by fans of the show. At the time, Casey was recovering from an unexplained medical issue. Our chats reminded me of the power of real and raw conversations, and it paved the way for ‘Unfiltered,’ the new Casefile Presents podcast where guests from all walks of life join me for a conversation about justice and transformation. In our first episode and his first-ever in-depth interview, Casey generously opens a window into parts of his own story that he’s never before shared publicly. I just listened to the latest episode of "Casefile True Crime," focusing on Colleen Stan (Part 1), and I must say it was both gripping and chilling. The storytelling was incredibly detailed, providing a comprehensive overview of the case. The host's narration skillfully set the scene, and the use of interviews and archival audio added a layer of authenticity that kept me hooked throughout. The case itself is haunting, and the way it's presented underscores the complexities and intricacies involved. I appreciated how the podcast delved into the psychological aspects, shedding light on the motivations and mindsets of those involved. It's a testament to the thorough research and dedication put into crafting each episode.

This is the first episode that I just couldn't finish. I have listened to accounts of crimes that were more gruesome, but I just couldn't keep listening to this one. I ended up just looking it up on the internet to see how it was resolved.
