When was the last time you said those 3 little words "I love you", to yourself? Chances are you probably haven't. Telling ourselves "I love you" isn't very common and it isn't practiced much. But it should be. Establishing a love affair with yourself can be the impetus of attracting the love you desire from others. God loves us with such incredible love and it's how He wants us to love ourselves and each other.  In this episode Nancy discusses the importance of loving yourself, giving yourself everything you need, and tangible things you can start doing today to begin your self-love journey. Make sure to have a pen and pad to take notes, because she's taking you to school in this episode.  6 Bible Verses on Loving Yourself: Song of Solomon 4:7 ESV  You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you. Proverbs 19:8 ESV  Whoever gets sense loves his own soul; he who keeps understanding will discover good. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ESV  Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. Psalm 139:13-15 ESV For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Ephesians 5:29 ESV  For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. Matthew 22:37-39 ESV  And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thenancyruffinshow/message
In a world were doing it all and being a super-woman/man is applauded, it's easy to get sucked into believing that we have to do it alone. Truth is, no one person can do everything, nor should they. If you struggle with relinquishing control, asking for help or delegating, this episode is for you.  Also in this episode, Nancy discusses the next Women of Faith Cohort starting September 22nd, the Women of Faith Retreat taking place December 3 to December 5th 2021 and Elisabet Velazquez's debut novel, When We Make It. Set Apart

In Jeremiah 1:5, God tells Jeremiah " Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah was set apart to be a prophet to the nations even before God created him. God chose the purpose THEN he created Jeremiah to fulfill the purpose. Being a prophet to nations was God's purpose for Jeremiah's life. Like Jeremiah, each of us has a unique calling for which we have been set apart (for which we were created). In this week's episode, Nancy discusses the idea of being set apart and why you already have everything you need to fulfill God's purpose for your life. She also chats with world renowned motivational speaker, Les Brown and shares tips on how to refocus and power up to accomplish your goals this season. Listen. Subscribe. Investing in yourself is one of the best return on investments you can have. Whether it's investing in learning a new skill, developing yourself personally or professionally, tapping into your creativity or hiring a coach, you need to give to yourself first before you can give to others. Investing in yourself means believing that you're capable of more than what you're currently doing. It also requires, at times, foregoing all other activities to invest in yourself and your goals.  In this episode, Nancy discusses why she believes self-love is the answer to all the world's problems and why investing in yourself is necessary to learn, grow and create value.  Get social with Nancy on: Instagram Facebook www.iamnancyruffin.com --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thenancyruffinshow/message
