Visit Bentonville is excited to announce three new members to their team!Emilie graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 with a BA in Hospitality Management. In 2013, she was promoted to Event Services Manager where she took on the role of supervising the logistical event operations team at the Arkansas Union. For her dedication to campus events in 2019, she was awarded the Association of College Unions Region II Outstanding Professional Award. As Tourism Services Manager, she aims to promote Bentonville as the ideal destination for group tours, weddings, and reunions.Dax graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2019 with a BS in Business Management. He grew up in Bentonville, AR, and was active in football, baseball, and basketball throughout his time as a student at Bentonville High School. Sports remain his passion to this day. Dax enjoys finding new sports to play and compete in, including Spikeball, CrossFit, Volleyball. He wants you to know that his goal is to share his passion for sports and Bentonville with the entire world!Stevie joins Visit Bentonville with three years of marketing experience in tourism and economic development in Texas. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas. As the new Graphic Design & Digital Manager, Stevie will contribute to marketing and communications efforts including social media and blogs, photo and video production, e-newsletters, and website management.
Jill Kintner joins us in the studio to share her story and why she's in Bentonville this week for the first-ever Red Bull First Ride!Jill is one of the most accomplished female athletes on two wheels. Paired with her work ethic and creativity, she has prevailed in 6 cycling disciplines. Starting with BMX and turning pro by age 14, Jill set herself apart at the highest level and then made a lateral shift at age 21 to try her hand at mountain biking. Competing in 4-Cross, Slalom, then Downhill, Pumptrack, and Enduro, her career highlights could stand alone in any one discipline. Still, Jill has risen to the top in all that she has entered. From a BMX Bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic games, three consecutive UCI 4X Mountain Bike World Championships, 15 World Cup wins, 5 Crankworx World titles, Downhill World Cup podiums, Slalom dominance, Pumptrack World titles, EWS Enduro stage wins, and an outstanding 25 Elite USA National Championships across them all.Jill is in Bentonville, AR this week for the first-ever Red Bull First Ride (Aug 7-8, 2021), a women's only EMTB clinic where Jill will personally share new techniques on and off the bike with two full days of EMTB focused clinics, including personal instruction on Bentonville's OZ Trail network.FIND TICKETS HERE!

Recently, Kalene Griffith, President of Visit Bentonville, set down with Amanda Khanga, Sales Director, and Aaron Mullins, Director of Communications & Marketing, to talk about the challenges of 2020 and what visitors can expect when they make plans to visit the Mountain Biking Capital of the World. 
In 1986 a movie called Rad was released, starring Bill Allen as Cru Jones, a young BMX aggressive racer.  To put it mildly, the movie became a cult classic, especially with BMXers, and is still a huge fan favorite today. Fast forward to 2020, when mountain bike influencer and producer Bradon Bringhurst, decided to recreate several scenes from Rad as a tribute to the movie. He was looking for the perfect location - and what better place than Bentonville, the Mountain Bike Capital of the World. Hosted by Bentonville's very own Nat Ross, MTB Hall of Famer, listen to a one of a kind episode with the movie's star, Bill Allen, who joins Braydon to talk about the "RAD" tribute project and their adventures in Northwest Arkansas. 
Recently, Visit Bentonville and Bike Bentonville had the privilege to sit down with Terry Adams in Bentonville, Arkansas.  In celebration of outdoor exploration during these unprecedented times, Terry visited Arkansas and teamed up with world-renowned BMX street rider, Corey Martinez, and photographer, Jeff Rose to capture this once-a-year moment – when the Harvest Moon rises above the forest and scenic Ozark Mountains. For this trip, Terry went out of his element to bring the flair of Flatland BMX to the Northwest Arkansas wilderness, executing tricks in this new setting, And of course, while in the area, Terry couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit Bentonville, Arkansas - the Mountain Biking Capital of the World! Terry and team were able to utilize the beautiful Sunset Point at Mount Nebo State Park for the shoot. The park is home to an Arkansas State Park Monument Trail, considered some of the best mountain biking trails in a state full of fantastic trails.  Listen to the full interview here!
