Great stuff. It's nice to hear the nuance in some of the things Alison suggests and the further back and forth with the letter writers that isn't really there in the (also excellent) column.

I have a co-worker that kept saying that she loved me and that I was her best friend. I told her to her face she was just an acquaintance and then she became clingy. I don't do clingy and I am constantly picking up her slack. I have mentioned to both supervisor and manager and they haven't said or done anything so I just stopped speaking to her. no because I'm upset with this person but it was the only way to get this person to stop being clingy.
