अस्तेय, asteya (a-stay-yah), is 1 of 5 yamas in the 8 limbs of yoga. Yamas are a set of observances and guidelines in how to navigate life in how you treat yourself, others, and the living world you live in. Asteya is the yama of non-stealing. But the meaning goes far beyond first impressions and I’m honoured to go deeper with you.
Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome

2024-01-0120:41

What started as an offering during a worldwide shutdown slowly faded into the distance as I pondered if anything I had to say was important or useful. Hello, Wanda (my imposter syndrome personified). I’m working hard to dispel the limiting belief system I have about myself and restarting this podcast is one of many things that I intend to embark on to help myself break free. Thank you for joining me on the journey. ◡̈

A quick 5 minute meditation for the end of the day to help recentre you. The music played is traditional sitar music from one of my teachers, Roop Verma. His music is not only beautiful but sacred and I encourage you to find his music online for yourself to play in the background while you are practicing or even just moving through your day. Thank you so much for tuning in.

Sometimes, we just need to press reset in the middle of our day. So here’s a mini guided meditation to help.
It's been a long while and I want to thank my listeners from all over the world for being so patient and listening to the same episodes over and over. It is a goal of 2020 for me to create more content (and find a better microphone) on a more regular basis. Here is a 45 minute quick vinyasa practice that has some twists and backbends to kick start your system whether you are waking up for the day, needing a mid-day pick me up or just a practice that will help move the body and emotions and energy out.  Enjoy! -km

A short and sweet podcast to help you with achey neck and shoulders from screen usage or even from injuries you may be working through. The lacrosse ball / tennis ball sequencing is inspired by Dr. Justin Tan, a near and dear friend and innovator of the technique, Rollax (TM). I hope this helps. :)

A requested longer flow sequence (45mins) for all you friends out there. The mantra at the end is from one of my nearest and dearest teachers and friend, Kelly Kamm. She's absolutely amazing and I love her so. Check her out kellykamm.com. Enjoy this podcast!
This podcast starts with a mantra, Lokah Samasthah Sukhino Bhavantu. Then I take the opprotunity to use this platform to talk about breaking stigmas and connecting with the people in our community. It is also a tribute to late Anthony Bourdain, one of my cherished heros. **apologies for grammar mistakes as I recorded this on the fly**
Sometimes, we need to clear the slate. Often, life brings challenging situations and conversations to us in our external world with others and in our internal world with ourselves. Here's a mini meditation to help you clear the slate and to keep you moving.

Twisty time. Feeling a bit blah? Twists can help to reinvigorate the body, get things moving again through the body and helps wring out the mind, heart and body.
You guessed it, this is a class for the hips. But we're going to stretch out all the places surrounding the hips to leave you feeling loosey goosey. It’s a short one but it’s a sweet one. Perfect for the end of a day (or the start).

As requested, as spicy as I can in a short amount of time with a mini ~2 minute savasana at the end. :) Enjoy!
Most recently in my travels abroad, the sheer population and the noise that comes with it was good practice for me to go inwards. But this isn't unique and we all find ourselves in situations of chaos (and magic), here's my technique to reground myself.

Yoga postures (asanas) are a wonderful part of the practice. But there's also rich depth behind the asanas and here, I'll tell you the story behind Virabhadra.
