We shot our film! After a lot of pre-production work (a lot!) we got our crew and actors together and shot Forgetting Me over two days. Listen in as Eddy and Kelly review the shoot. Since there was so much to cover, this is just part 1. And now that we've moved into post-production, the rest of the film making process awaits us. Please keep listening and sharing our journey! And if you want to ask us a question, or give us a shout-out, use the Anchor.fm app to leave us a message. Thanks so much for listening! While my producer, Kelly, hob-knobs in LA, I (Eddy) toil away at pre-production tasks! Only 4 weeks away from shooting and there's lots to do. Listen in as I share details of working with a composer to develop a score for the film (super exciting process). As well, I walk through my script breakdown process and a cool insight I had, which led to me creating a "Story Path" (my new invention!)--a visual of the ebb and flow of the story's intensity over time. I think it's a cool way to "see" the film on paper. Please keep listening and sharing our journey! And if you want to ask us a question, or give us a shout-out, use the Anchor.fm app to leave us a message. It's easy, and we just might get you on the show! Thanks so much for listening! We're charging ahead, now that we've secured funding. And today's podcast comes to you from a pause in our auditions! Kelly and I (Eddy) talk about the audition process and what's happening, as it happens, recording this episode from the studio where we held auditions. Please keep listening and sharing our journey! Atmosphere is critical, especially in a short film. With little time to tell your story, how can you use every tool in your kit to bring the most impact to the screen? "With a short film, there's something exacting about it," says producer Kelly. “There’s tension in spaces between lines,” she added. We also venture in a discussion around sound design. “The subtlety of sound can have such an enormous impact,” says writer and director Eddy. Check out the entire discussion! The very first episode of our podcast! Life is Short is a podcast focused on two indie filmmakers working towards bringing a short film to life. The film will be about the ravages of Alzheimer's disease and the toll it takes on a long-time couple, and in particular the caregiver. While it's about one disease, it's really a universal story about commitment, resilience and sacrificial love. In this episode my producer, Kelly, and I talk about shooting our pitch video. We're just getting things rolling, so please subscribe, share, and keep listening!
