This episode is a repost of a show I was on called the Revenue Growth Podcast with Darrell Amy! Be sure to check out his other episodes here! In my conversation with Darrell, I talked about the importance of coaching within the business space. Why do you need a coach? Well, for starters, it saves you time, and truly… it can’t hurt! Sometimes it helps to have an outside perspective, and to have guidance from someone who has hiked the mountain before. Here’s what we discuss in this episode:Variety is the spice of life: having diversity in opinions and backgrounds cand give a variety to a business that will help it grow!Short game or long game? The answer is BOTH! Business is all about the short-game AND the long-game. How to free up your time: One of my favorite business tricks is figuring out how to do what works in less time, and stopping the things that aren’t working. If it’s not helping you grow, don’t waste your time doing it. I teach you the exact exercise to figure all that out in this episode!2020 has been a crazy year, but it’s also been the year where heart-centered entrepreneurs can truly step up and serve! If you really want to be in the business for the long game, always care about people and lead from the heart. Be sure to check out Darrell’s podcast for more awesome episodes!🎙 Revenue Growth Podcast with Darrell AmyLove the show? Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Let’s talk about the unsexy truths about building an online coaching business. Today we’ll be talking about something most coaches breeze by but will make the biggest difference in your business. This episode is all about the foundation system for your business. Most people start at the top, and that is wrong. You have to start with the foundation, because it’s that foundation that will help you build a successful business. It’s crucial to channel your focus and your energy into building a strong foundation that will support a successful business. What is the foundation to a business? There are 5 elements (and a bonus 6th element!)Figure out WHO we are serving. Find the right people. Why do we start with people? At the end of the day, before we know what problems we will solve and how to price it, we need to know WHO we will be serving. What is this person going to buy? What do they need? Once you figure out WHO you are serving, you have to craft the offer around the people. Find the people, then find the product. Your product should move people from point A to point B. Next is price point. Once you have the right people and the right product, you can find the right price point. Price your product that your ideal clients can afford. How do we figure out a price point? Think about your ideal client: is it a price they can afford? Is it a price where they will feel committed to the process or product? Next: it has to be profitable for your business. If it’s not profitable, your business will not survive, and you will not be able to serve the people you were put on this earth to serve.Positioning. What is unique about you that sets you apart from the other coaches within your niche? Your business needs to be in a place where it is able to scale. If it’s not scalable, you’re dampening your calling and you can’t fulfill your purpose to serve. Now for the bonus piece: social optimization. Once you have built your foundation built (you have the right clients, the right product, the right price, and you’re positioned in a way that makes you unique from your competitors with a business built to scale), you have to make sure that your social media is optimized and branded in a way that your ideal clients are attracted to you and will want to follow you. Steps 1-5 should be in your bio and your content. Once you have these 6 steps, you can now build the other parts of your business.Love the show? Erik spent 4 years locked up in prison, but it was during those 4 years where he discovered self-development and a desire to share that with others. He is a coach and motivational speaker sharing his 4-step process of transformation. In this episode, we’re going to talk about the small steps you can take TODAY in your business that will help you make big changes. The first step you need to take is that of awareness: stop trying to change your life… figure out what ABOUT your life you want to change. Compartmentalize your life into these categories: health & wellness, mindset & emotion, relationships (family, significant other, peers, friends), and career & finances. Where do you want to see change? From there, you can figure out the small steps to implement to make those changes. As a heart centered entrepreneur, your perspective shouldn’t be built around you, but rather, your ideal client. When you build your brand, build it around who YOU are, but your content and your delivery should be about the client. With more coaches online than ever before, it’s more important than ever to show up. What might work for someone else may not work for you: remember, there’s more than one way up the mountain! Connect with Erik: 📲Instagram 🖥 Website Love the show? I used to HATE this topic, because I was never sure if I was able to do it right. My guest this week is Kate Perkovic, a business coach specializing in heart-centered sales. After dabbling in health coaching, she realized it wasn’t really for her, so she pivoted to business coaching. This social worker-turned-sales coach now goes by the name of the Sales Sweetheart and coaches others in the closing of high-ticket sales. When it comes to sales, telling people they HAVE to decide in the moment, the guilt tactics (“if you do this, you won’t succeed”), the pressure… that is NOT the way to go! Kate has been able to bring elements of social work into sales and truly transform the process into one that is about service, and about the transformation of the client and their needs over yours. In this episode, we’re going to dive deep into how to approach your sales from a heart-centered perspective, how to find balance in your business, and figuring out how to find the right price point for you so that you can serve to the best of your ability.Connect with Kate: 📲Instagram 🖥 Website 👉🏼 ITI Foundations👉🏼 ITI AcceleratorLove the show? Travis Chappell grew up in a strictly religious bubble, and ended up getting a degree in ministry. He realized that wasn’t his path, but because his degree wasn’t from an accredited institution, he didn’t have much to fall back on, so he got into door-to-door sales, but because he wasn’t a part of the corporate world, he couldn’t do much with that sales experience and nobody would hire him. That’s when he discovered the world of podcasting. So why podcasting? Podcasting allowed for the freedom and networking Travis desired. Much of what podcasting is revolves around networking and relationship building. Podcasting is a valuable tool and asset to have in your repertoire, but the prescription and the reasoning behind it varies depending on each person’s individual situation.Podcasting is by far the least saturated of all social platforms. According to Travis, there are half a billion blogs, 31 million YouTube channels, a million books that come out every year, a billion people on instagram, 1.7 billion people facebook, nearly a billion people on LinkedIn, and nearly a billion on TikTok. There are only 1 million podcasts. Things to keep in mind when you launch your podcast:Find your niche first. Too many people start too broad.Know there’s no one-size-fits-all strategy for growth. Know that you won’t see gratification instantly, but your future self will thank you for the work you’re putting in today. Delayed gratification is an important aspect of podcasting.Be honest, genuine, and transparent. Ready to start your podcast? Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Let’s talk about sales: why they are crucial to your business and how to be great at it! In this episode, we’re going to dive deep into two things: what you should be doing before a sales call, and what you should be doing on a sales call.Sales calls are the way to do it! If you’re going to charge more than $500 for something, you’re going to want to get on a call with someone to sell to them. For something less than $500, you could always get on a short call, or you can just close it via messenger or email. Here’s what you should focus on BEFORE your call:Lead quality: you have to have quality control when it comes to your leads. Quality is more important than anything. Nurturing: your leads need to be nurtured so that they are HOT leads, warmed and spiced up BEFORE you ask them to get on a call with you. Transparency: Don’t disguise your call as a discovery call or a strategy call. Be transparent with your intentions. Here’s what you should do ON your call:Flow: having a script is a good place to start, but you need to know how a call flows. Preface the call with their pain points and problems, then ask what their goals are, and then let them know how you can be the bridge between their pain points and their goalsSell to serve! Don’t sell just to make money, sell because you want to serve people.Have a flexible plan: Have 2-3 options for people to be able to comfortably pay. If someone can’t pay upfront, have a payment plan option. What NOT to do on a sales call:DON’T follow a scriptDON’T be a pushy, aggressive, car salesmanLove the show? Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Welcome to the third installment of the Mountain Series, so you might hear some of the beautiful noises of nature in the background of this episode!Let’s talk about 3 ways you should NOT pitch your services. Mindset around selling is so important, and to be business-savvy and heart-centered, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do sales… it just means you do sales in a way that doesn’t feel pushy or aggressive, but rather, serving the world to the best of your capabilities. The world needs your gifts. The world needs to be taught by you and served by you.Pitches that DON’T work:The Pamphlet Pitch: you know what I’m talking about… you send this MASSIVE 30 page message on WHY they need your service, what the price is, how much they’ll go down the drain if they don’t have your service, why you’re the best person for it, and a link to your website for them to purchase. The Piss on You Pitch: this is when someone pitches to you with an insult… like how bad you’re doing and how their service could help you. Don’t tell them what they’re doing wrong, instead, ask them questions and THEN give advice. People don’t want negative, unsolicited advice. The Premature Pitch: this is when you pitch your services too soon. You need to have a warming mechanism to warm up those qualified leads so that they get to know you. You usually only have one opportunity to pitch to someone, so make sure they are adequately warmed up before you do!Love the show? Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! This week’s episode is a replay of one of my facebook live trainings. Let’s talk about lead nurturing and how to turn your cold leads into the hot leads that will get on a sales call with you. We’ll go over the process, step-by-step, to transform your leads. Listen all the way until the end for a Q+A session! Before you even begin your sales process, you should start by building a targeted audience: adding 10-20 people a day who would be your ideal client. Once you have built your audience, we can talk about the clientele journey and how you should funnel your clients.Step 1 - Content Distribution: choose the platform where your ideal clients will be, and use that platform to distribute content that will elicit a reaction from the right audience. How do you produce content that gets a reaction? Make sure your content asks questions that are niche-specific. If you never ask your clients any questions, you’ll never get any answers. Create content that is emotional and that will generate feelings that will encourage them to engage.Step 2 - Subscribe: That doesn’t just mean emails - it means getting the people who have been engaging with your content more free value. This can include a facebook group, an email list, or anything that is free, but also exclusive that they can subscribe to with a call-to-action. Step 3 - Commit: You want people to love what you do without a shadow of a doubt, and to be so nurtured that getting on a sales call with you is a no brainer. When you give someone so much free value, they want to give back to you. Have 1:1 communication in your DMs to give them even more customized value. Here is your client journey:Client becomes a part of your audience > they see your content distribution > they start engaging > they subscribe to your system and methodology > you get them committed through 1:1 personalized help > you get them to a place where they are now a paying clientFollow this process and you’ll get EXACTLY what you’re looking for!Love the show? This episode is a repost of a show I was on called the Master Your Mind, Business & Life Podcast with Lauren Smith! Be sure to check out her other episodes here! In my conversation with Lauren, I talked about how I transitioned from working construction and manual labor to being a business coach in the fitness industry. I always knew there was something more for me out there. I was good at a lot of things growing up… but I wasn’t great. It was my wife Terri pushing me out of my comfort zone and inspiring me to reach for greatness was such a turning point for me.Here’s what we go over in this interview:Mindset: working through tearing down who I thought Reuben was and rebuilding from the ground up. Belief: The only way you can do something consistently long term is through belief. The barriers to growth: Necessities vs. optimizations (check out episode 4 for more about these!)Knowing your numbers: once you know your numbers and improve them, you will improve the results. Your numbers are the best accountability partner you can find! What to track: how many targeted audience members came into your sphere? Did they become qualified lead? How many nurturing conversations did you have? How many sales calls did you have? Where did your last clients come from? If something is not repeatable, it’s not sustainable. The path of least resistance: focus on what platform is working for you and stick with it!Do you really need paid marketing? You should only move into paid marketing when it’s tactical and when you need it. Remember: the greatest teacher is experience!Be sure to check out Lauren’s podcast for more awesome episodes!🎙Master Your Mind, Business & Life Podcast with Lauren SmithLove the show? Welcome to the second episode in the Mountain Series, where I record out in nature, surrounded by mountains, and share with you something radically transformative for your business. You might hear some background noise! One of the most common things I see with entrepreneurs who are just starting out is that they are focusing on the wrong things. They’re spending too much time on the wrong things and not enough time on the right things. There are two factors we focus on in business: necessities and optimizations. So what’s the difference? An example of a necessity is sales. No sales = no money coming in. What’s an optimization? Getting better at sales, whether that’s writing better copy, creating a sales page, etc. The ratio of which you should be focusing on this is 80/20. 80% of your time should be focused on necessities, and 20% of your time should be focused on optimization.Getting better at the basics is what is best for your business.Love the show? Welcome to the FIRST episode in the Mountain Series, where I record out in nature, surrounded by mountains, and share with you something radically transformative for your business. You might hear some background noise!Let’s talk about clarity.“Have a vision.” “Set goals.” “Trust the process.” What does this even mean?Be present. Being present is about living in the moment. This one, right here. Where you can be grateful for where you have and where you can find the most joy. If you’re being present, you’re not reminiscing about the past, and you’re not worried or fearing the future. Having a vision. Ok… so how am I supposed to have a vision for the future if I’m supposed to live in the present? This is how: it’s about having a trajectory. It’s a direction of where you’re heading.Vision vs. goals: goals are milestones that you achieve that lead you to the vision. Process: the process is the activity you take in the present. As long as you are taking the next step, you’ll end up where you want to go. Stop comparing yourself to others. Take your own path and stay on it, no matter how fast or how slow you go.Love the show? My guest this week is Melissa Martin! Melissa is a business coach, abundance expert, podcaster, and creator of the Ignite Academy for Network Marketers. Melissa’s zone of genius is helping people tap into abundance so they can radiate authentically, lead with authority, and attract abundance with ease.Melissa found herself unemployed and in over 100k of debt in 2012. She was introduced to the power of network marketing, dove right in, earned over a million dollars in 7 years. In 2019 after the restructuring of her company, she lost everything in 60 days. But in all of that, she realized the secret sauce to building a business wasn’t in other people’s strategies and systems, but doing the inner work, finding her authentic voice, and having the confidence to share that with others. In this episode, we’ll talk about alignment, putting in the work, and money mindset. Here’s what you can learn in the episode:What is alignment? Are you experiencing peace and joy? Are you consenting to everything with your soul? Living in true alignment is staying true to what your soul wants. What is abundance? Abundance does not necessarily depend on money. There are some people who make millions of dollars a year who are not living in abundance, and there are people with next to nothing in their bank accounts who radiate abundance. Abundance is not a destination, it’s a vibration. Masculine vs. Feminine energy: Women are anatomically designed to receive and create, so our feminine energy is the place where we can create our realities and receive our abundance. The masculine energy is where we execute, where we give, and where we can put forth those ideas into the world. Knowing how to use both of these energies is crucial to your business.Love the show? My guest this week is my personal mentor, Austin Netzley! I would not be where I am today without him, so if he can help me, he can help you too!Austin wanted to go to school to get an engineering degree to learn the ins and outs of factories and operations, and then work his way up the corporate ladder by getting an MBA. That’s when he discovered entrepreneurship, and had a deep desire to give back, contribute, and lead people. Five businesses later, he finally got it right and found his purposes: and 2X was born.In this episode, Austin and I talk about business basics, entrepreneurship, and building the framework for success. Here’s what you can learn in the episode:Entrepreneurs jump around looking for clarity. Is it a bad thing to jump around to figure it out? The answer is complex. Some people really need the stepping stones to go from one thing to the next. But some people do this for decades, and that’s the problem… do your jumping around for a few years, not forever.Take risks, fail, learn, and move forward. Every successful entrepreneur has failed. Failures give you the greatest lessons.Get clear on your audience: Who are the people you want to serve?5 Business basics you need to know: are you selling the right people the right stuff at the right price with the right positioning in a way they can scale? Get a FREE copy of Austin’s book, From Six to Seven Figures: click the link below, leave your address and a review on this podcast to get your free copy! 👇🏼http://www.scale2x.com/friendLove the show? Let’s talk about YouTube.Jessica is an online business coach for coaches, specializing in social media and YouTube for traffic. Jessica used to be in door-to-door sales, selling alarm systems. Even though she made good money, she felt trapped and felt like she needed something more. The first thing she searched on YouTube was “how to make money online.” She eventually started teaching about eCommerce, and her first YouTube video went viral, but she still was unhappy and felt inauthentic. She bought a one-way ticket to Indonesia, and started her coaching business with everything she learned along the way. She has scaled to multiple six-figures and counting. When choosing a platform as an entrepreneur, first you must identify your zone of genius. In this episode, we talk about all things YouTube, and how you can optimize your YouTube channel and funnel clients into your business. Here are a few key takeaways from the episode:Why YouTube for the entrepreneur? Most people aren’t born being good on camera, but it’s a skill you can develop. The search engine is designed to put you in front of people who are actively searching for the problem that you can solve.Repurposing. Having a well thought-out content strategy across all your platforms is important. YouTube videos can be easily repurposed into weeks worth of content. How to optimize your YouTube videos: titles, keywords (high search volume, low competition), thumbnails, and video descriptions.Connect with Jess:instagram: @jessmoore.co
My guest this week is Jessica Ludlow. Jessica is a Sales & Marketing Coach for online coaches and creatives, and she teaches entrepreneurs how to leverage Instagram and Facebook to get more organic sales through the proven strategies that have helped her and many of her clients to multiple five-figures.Jessica’s entrepreneur journey was varied (like most). She tried several different things before settling on her coaching business. In this episode, Jessica is going to talk about how to build a business you’re truly passionate about, how to connect with your ideal client, and boost your sales through social media. Here are a few key takeaways from the episode:Passion: If you’re not truly passionate about something, it’s really hard to continue it. You have to be passionate about what you’re doing. If you’re not, why not just go back to your 9-5 and be miserable there? As an entrepreneur, YOU are in control. You decide when you work. There is no box, there are no 4 walls. Do what makes you feel aligned, and do what you feel passionate about.Have a plan: most entrepreneurs try out a lot of different things with varying degrees of success before they find a business that sticks. Don’t be afraid to fail. In fact, make a plan.  Make a commitment to try something for a specific period of time. Give yourself a deadline. If it doesn’t work, if you don’t feel aligned, then switch.Find your true fan: All you need is 1000 true fans. If you’re just starting out, maybe that’s 10 or 15 true fans who like what you’re doing, that you can be able to serve in some way, whether it’s a $20 offer or a $200 offer, for you to be able to take the next steps to scale. How do you find your true fans? Market research! Use social media, google, your business idols, etc. Find what people need, and then offer it. Connect with Jessica:Instagram: @iamjesssicaludlowWebsite: https://iamjessicaludlow.lpages.co/
My guest this week is Kendall Strampel, but you might know her as Fears to Fit. Kendall struggled with an eating disorder in high school and found bodybuilding as a way to break the cycle and learn to love her body. At 18, she got certified as a personal trainer, and she started an instagram account to document her journey in recovery from her ED and her journey through bodybuilding. Her instagram soon began gaining popularity and she began receiving requests from other young women asking for coaching. Once Kendall realized she could generate an income from this, she moved to California and launched her coaching business. She now not only takes fitness clients, but she also is a business coach for other coaches. In this episode, Kendall is going to talk about how to nurture your clients and build your online business from the ground up.Here are some key takeaways from the episode:Be yourself. It’s really important to build trust online and build a rapport by a. Educating them and b. Showing you’re an authority in that niche. If you really want to resonate with people, be human. Be yourself. Find what makes you different. Set yourself apart with your personality. Track your leads. Nurture everyone as if they were a potential client. Find out who they are, build trust, and build rapport. It might take time, but if someone needs your help, track them and follow up with them.Instagram. How you can use instagram stories and their functions to grow your business, attract your ideal clients, and build your audience. Kendall will also share her specific method for funneling her audience into email sequences and “cross-pollinating.” Connect with Kendall:Instagram: @fearstofit
Are you afraid to feel like you’re being a copycat? Do you want to learn how to stand out as who you are and use your zone of genius in your business? My guest today is Bri Seeley, Google’s top-ranked entrepreneur coach. Bri helps people tailor-make their businesses to monetize their genius. Being an entrepreneur is quite literally part of Bri’s DNA and part of who she is. Raised by an entrepreneur, she grew up helping with the family business. Naming freedom as her top core value, Bri has always resonated with entrepreneurship and the freedom it provides. In this episode, Bri is going to talk about how to show up in all aspects of your life as your unapologetic self, how to understand yourself so that you can find the path that works best for you, and finding your zone of genius.Remember: there isn’t just one way up the mountain. There are hundreds of ways up the mountain. Some are hard, some are easy. Which path is best for you? Here are some key takeaways from this episode:What is the zone of genius? The sweet spot between what you’re good at, what you enjoy, and something that comes easily to you. Which path is right for you? How do you approach risk? When do you leave your “real” job to start your entrepreneur journey? Are you hyper-systemized, or do you go with the flow? There is no right answer. It’s different for everyone! Know yourself. You cannot show up in your business, personal life, or relationships as your unapologetic self if you don’t know who you are or what you want. Know yourself well enough what aligns for you, what works for you, what feels right to you. You have to be willing to do the work to understand what your flavor of entrepreneurship is. CONNECT WITH BRI:www.briseeley.comInstagram:  @briseeley
Are you feeling like a deer in the headlights when it comes to marketing? Wondering where to start, or where your next step should be? This episode is for you.My guest this week is Tara, an online marketing expert and agency owner. Tara’s original dream was to get a PhD in psychology, but decided midway through earning her bachelor’s degree, decided that it wasn’t for her. She graduated from college and looked for jobs in the marketing industry with no luck. She ended up starting her own web design company and quickly started being found on google with clients. In this episode, Tara is going to dispel common marketing myths, and teach you how to be confident with your online presence. Here’s what we can learn from Tara:You cannot have a business or online presence if you’re afraid of being judged. Fear of judgement is incredibly human, but if you’re going to be afraid and allow that fear to stop you, then you won’t get anything done and it will negatively affect your marketing and business. When you feel afraid, summon the courage and confidence of a child (or even you younger, more carefree and naive self!)What to have on your website or social media profile to attract your ideal client. If you call out what someone has already experienced, they are more likely to connect with you. It’s important to repel people as well. Be really clear on who your people are. Don’t be afraid to niche down your audience. Resistance: How to differentiate between the resistance that comes from discomfort and the resistance that comes from that which does not align with your values. CONNECT WITH TARA:Instagram: @iamtarawilderWebsite: www.tarawilder.comPodcast: Unforgettable Online Marketing Podcast
