The newest term to hit America due to a tiktok trend in july of 2022, "Quiet Quitting"  If you don't go above and beyond at your job, then you're a "Quiet Quitter".  if you do what is required at your job, you might be a "Quiet Quitter".  If you perform just enough not to be fired, you might be a "Quiet Quitter".   Is it wrong not to go above and beyond at work?  Just doing the job requirements and only working hours in trade of money?  Should you be shamed for working 9-5 monday through Friday.  If you don't answer that email on your vacation or take that call after hours, you might be a "Quiet Quitter". Why is this bad, after all you are not being paid for the extra effort and there's no promotion waiting at the end of the month. The definition for a "Quiet Quitter" is someone who does not endure the hustle culture and go above and beyond in the workplace (summed up).  It is a loose definition, meaning lots of loose interpretations, meaning more possibilities for a toxic workplace.  No one wants that.   In the day and age of Pandemics and culture changes, we need to learn and discuss together how to combat more Negative Changes to ourselves and those around us. Some are easily confused, but that doesn't have to be you.   Send in your stories if you know someone who is a "Quiet Quitter" or if you think you yourself is a "Quiet Quitter"  I guarantee you, it's most likely NOT your FAULT.  It's not a new concept, workplace toxicity has been known FOREVER!   --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support

Kids are the future. Covid is destroying our mental health. Politics, lately, can cause a lot of anxiety. The multi variable issue in our world today is causing a backlash of issues on our mental health and daily routine. It’s vital we get back to a point of normalcy. Suicide is up and mental health down. We don’t have to stay this way. Find a hobby an interest, start a book club. Things that may help engage with others. We’re all in this together, not the only one dealing with it. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support

Gov Newsom, Gov Kelly, Lightfoot, all are going fricking insane over gathering restrictions. 6 in 1 on home.  Well those of you with larger families gotta boot out your least favorite.  This is out of hand.  How do we get through this, stand up for what we believe in and what is truth, justice and the American Way.   This podcast use to be about God and becoming atheist, with some minor politics. I hope to merge multiple elements with psychology and mental health. I believe that the truth is healing even if it sucks. The presence of psychopathy in the workplace—although psychopaths typically represent a relatively small percentage of the staff—can do enormous damage when in senior management roles.[1] Psychopaths are usually most common at higher levels of corporate organizations and their actions often cause a ripple effect throughout an organization, setting the tone for an entire corporate culture. Examples of detrimental effects are increased bullying, conflict, stress, staff turnover and absenteeism; reduction in productivity and in social responsibility.[2] Ethical standards of entire organizations can be badly damaged if a corporate psychopath is in charge.[3] A 2017 UK study found that companies with leaders who show "psychopathic characteristics" destroy shareholder value, tending to have poor future returns on equity.[4] Academics refer to psychopaths in the workplace individually variously as workplace psychopaths, executive psychopaths, corporate psychopaths, business psychopaths, successful psychopaths, office psychopaths, white-collar psychopaths, industrial psychopaths, organizational psychopaths or occupational psychopaths.[5] Criminal psychologist Robert D. Hare coined the term "Snakes in Suits" as a synonym for workplace psychopaths.[6]  1 in 25 Americans fit the criteria for sociopathy.  Dr. Hervey Cleckley was the first researcher to name the concept of psychopathy in 1941. https://www.inc.com/marla-tabaka/16-signs-you-re-working-with-a-sociopath-and-how-to-protect-yourself.html In her book The Sociopath Next Door, clinical psychologist and former Harvard faculty member Martha Stout, PhD, provides a great roadmapfor avoiding sociopaths. Workplace bullying is a persistent pattern of mistreatment from others in the workplace that causes either physical or emotional harm.[1]  It can include such tactics as verbal, nonverbal, psychological, physical abuse and humiliation. This type of workplace aggression is particularly difficult because, unlike the typical school bully, workplace bullies often operate within the established rules and policies of their organization and their society. In the majority of cases, bullying in the workplace is reported as having been by someone who has authority over their victim. However, bullies can also be peers, and occasionally subordinates.[2] Research has also investigated the impact of the larger organizational context on bullying as well as the group-level processes that impact on the incidence and maintenance of bullying behaviour.[3] Bullying can be covert or overt. It may be missed by superiors; it may be known by many throughout the organization.  Negative effects are not limited to the targeted individuals, and may lead to a decline in employee morale and a change in organizational culture.[4] It can also take place as overbearing supervision, constant criticism, and blocking promotions.[5] Step One - Name it! Step Two - Take Time Off to Heal & Launch a Counterattack Step Three - Expose the Bully Stress-related diseases and health complications from prolonged exposure to the stressors of bullying: Cardiovascular Problems: Hypertension (60%) to Strokes, Heart Attacks; Adverse Neurological Changes: Neurotransmitter Disruption, Hippocampus and Amygdala atrophy;Gastrointestinal: IBD, colitis; Immunological Impairment: More frequent infections of greater severity Auto-immune disorders;Fibromyalgia (21%), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (33%);Diabetes (10%); Skin Disorders (17%) Nausea, Tremors of the Lips, Hands, Etc., Feeling Uncoordinated,Chills, Profuse Sweating, Diarrhea, Rapid Heartbeat, Rapid Breathing, Elevated Blood Pressure, Chest Pain, Uncontrollable Crying, Headaches; 37% of workers have been bullied: 13% currently and 24% previously; Most bullies are bosses (72%) ;More perpetrators are men (60%) than are women(40%); Most Targets (57%) are women; Women bullies target women (71%); men target men (54%); Bullying is 4 times more prevalent than illegal discriminatory harassment; 62% of employers ignore the problem;45% of Targets suffer stress-related health problems; 40% of bullied individuals never tell their employers; Only 3% of bullied people file lawsuits --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support
Bullying sucks whether your the one bullying or receiving the mistreatment from others.  It might be hard to understand why someone would be treating someone else so poorly. Well there are reasons for this and it sucks for both sides.  Here is a short discussion in a series of discussions to follow on how to deal with different types of bullies.  Pastor Punches Kid in the Chest https://youtu.be/Q19qRUBj-ic Evangelism: I don’t like people telling me what to do https://youtu.be/woLLf5a2uKc Workplace bullying is a persistent pattern of mistreatment from others in the workplace that causes either physical or emotional harm.[1] It can include such tactics as verbal, nonverbal, psychological, physical abuse and humiliation. Often, they might say things like this: 1people who love to be in charge 2Second, church bullies almost always like feeling important and knowledgeable 3many church bullies are very insecure In real life, their marriage is in a shambles, they’re having an affair, addicted to pornography, stealing from their employer and so on. 4Fourth, occasionally we encounter church bullies who are actually mean, evil people, pretending to be otherwise because they’ve found a place (church) where they can get away with their need to bully other people. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support

He is the author of two books (Correct, Not Politically Correct and Stealing from God) and co-author of two more with Norman Geisler (I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist and Legislating Morality).[1][2] He hosts a call-in talk show called CrossExamined on American Family Radio. His television show, I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist, airs on the NRB Network.[3] Views[edit] In the book I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist, Turek discusses how we demand truth from doctors, stock brokers, loved ones, etc., and yet we do not typically demand truth when it comes to morality or religion. He argues that truth is based in correspondence to an absolute reality, and is therefore not subjective. It therefore follows that religious truth is also objective, and that to state that there is no truth or that truth is subjective is self-refuting.[8]  After arguing for the objectivity of truth, Turek then argues for the objectivity of knowledge. He asks those who argue that one cannot know anything for sure if they can know that for sure. If they can, then the statement is self-defeating. If they cannot, then it calls the legitimacy of that position into question. Turek concludes by saying that people cannot be skeptics about everything, because then they would have to doubt skepticism. However, the more they doubt skepticism, the more sure they become.[9]  He argues that the existence of God implies the existence of miracles. He uses the illustration of a box as a metaphor for the universe. Turek argues that the universe is open and that God, being the creator of the universe, can reach into the universe and perform what one might call miracles.[10] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imaginary_time The 12 cognitive biases that prevent you from being rational https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-12-cognitive-biases-that-prevent-you-from-being-rat-5974468 Cross Examined Answering the Atheists: Stephen Hawking (Part 1) https://youtu.be/1tVO0-zYAvE Determinism is the philosophical position that for every event, including human interactions, there exist conditions that could cause no other event.    Quoting From Their Holy Book 2) You’re Going to Burn in Hell 3) You Can’t Prove God Doesn’t Exist 4) Everything is Subjective So Nothing You Say Matters This one usually comes up in discussions on morality. Just because someone says morality is subjective does not mean everything else is. Sometimes it comes up when someone acknowledges perspective plays a role in how observations may be interpreted. But that doesn’t mean everything is subjective either. Flailing straw men around doesn’t help an argument. It just looks like you’re throwing a fit. 5) I’m Not Religious. I Have a Personal Relationship With God 6) Who Created the Universe, the Earth and the First People? 7) Why Are There Still Monkeys? 8) I’ll Pray For You 9) You Can See God in Everything Europeans thought they saw God in everything back in the 14th century. When the bubonic plague broke out, they figured God must be pretty pissed off so they went and started the Inquisition. Theists tend to talk about fluffier things when saying this though, like bunnies and flowers. Atheists see beauty in the world too, but we don’t need to attribute that to a god. 10) You Can’t See Air, But You Know It’s There, Just Like God Believe it or not This one is actually taught in Islamic elementary schools. Sorry kids, but when you grow up and you’re still using the same arguments from elementary, that means you haven’t progressed any. We can detect and measure air. We can detect and measure the contents of air.  http://www.atheistrepublic.com/blog/lee-m/ten-stupid-things-theists-say Is Atheism a LACK of Belief in God or a BELIEF that there is no God? Romans 1:20-23 says the following pertaining to atheism and the atheists suppression of belief in God: For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore atheists not only suppress the existence of God in their lives but through the theory of evolution they have replaced God with the worship of animals and worship of themselves. The theories of evolution is what has become the atheist’s religion. Therefore atheism cannot be defined as a LACK of belief because the atheist simply CHOOSES to SUPPRESS his belief in God. Atheism is a CHOICE. It is a belief system. If God Exists Would You Become A Christian? How Do You Determine What’s Right & What’s Wrong? How Do You Deal With Guilt & Sin in Your Life? Do You Act According To What You Believe or According To What You Lack In Belief? Can You Prove HOW the Universe Was Created? Can You Prove That God Does Not Exist?  You might live in the bible belt if… If there is a church for every 4 people and 2 in the mall if your local public high school invites an area church to hold a mandatory evangelistic meeting on campus in the middle of the school day  If, when you move to a new area, the first thing they ask you is “where do you work?” The second question, without fail is: “where do you go to church?” If they play only Christian music at your doctor’s office. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support
https://youtu.be/otrqzITuSqE Professor John Lennox begins by declaring himself as a believer in God. He says he's not ashamed of being both a scientist and a Christian but is tired of the constant choice being put forth to chose either God or Science.  The motivating force behind science is that the universe and the human mind ultimately stem from the same intelligent divine mind.  He goes on to say that science can find answers to almost everything in the universe apart from why it was made; only god can reveal that piece of information to us. The proof for the existence of god comes in the form of Jesus Christ, God in human form. Therefore god isn't a theory he's a person. Ross accepts the scientific consensus on the Big Bang theory, the age of the earth and the scientific age of the universe, however he rejects Darwinian evolution and abiogenesis as explanations for the history and origin of life. He is the president of Answers in Genesis (AiG), a creationist apologetics organization that operates the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter.  Ham advocates biblical literalism, believing that the Book of Genesis is historical fact and the universe is approximately 6,000 years old,[n 1] contrary to multiple individual lines of scientific evidence which show the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old and the universe is about 13.8 billion years old.[2][3]  According to Ham, he was inspired by his father, also a young Earth creationist, to interpret the Book of Genesis as "literal history" and first rejected what he termed "molecules-to-man evolution" during high school.[5]  As a young Earth creationist and biblical inerrantist, Ham believes that the Book of Genesis is historical fact.  Ham believes the age of the Universe to be about 6,000 years[n 1] and asserts that Noah's flood occurred about 4,400 years ago in approximately 2348 BC.[41] (Astrophysical measurements and radiometric dating show that the age of the universe is about 13.8 billion years and the age of the Earth is about 4.5 billion years.)[2]  Arguing that knowledge of evolution and the https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theadamparadox/support
When former skeptic and seventeen-year-old Ravi Zacharias heard the words of Jesus in John 14:19, “Because I live, you also will live,” the trajectory of his life changed forever. In a time of helplessness and unbelief—when he was on a bed of suicide—the truth of Scripture brought hope to Zacharias, and he committed his life to Christ, promising, “I will leave no stone unturned in my pursuit of truth.” Earlier in John 14, Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” This verse has become the cornerstone of Zacharias’s ultimate mission as a Christian apologist and evangelist: to present and defend the truth of Jesus Christ that others may find life in Him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ John Charlton Polkinghorne KBE FRS (born 16 October 1930) is an English theoretical physicist, theologian, writer and Anglican priest.  A prominent and leading voice explaining the relationship between science and religion, he was professor of mathematical physics at the University of Cambridge from 1968 to 1979, when he resigned his chair to study for the priesthood, becoming an ordained Anglican priest in 1982.
