The Toronto Blue Jays win the second game of the series against the Mets 6-2. Chris Bassitt had a stellar performance against his old team, only giving up one run over six innings after getting beat up by the Phillies in his last start. Davis Schneider has a massive two-run triple in this game, propelling the Blue Jays offense and giving them the momentum to take control of the game from then on. Everyone contributed in this game, as every single Blue Jay had got on base by the middle of the third inning. In this episode, we break down the second game from the Mets and Blue Jays series, focusing on individual player performances and the big plays from Tuesday’s win. We then focus on a few players who have had *SHOCKING* streaks as of late, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses as well as their role with the Toronto Blue Jays at this point and beyond. To wrap things up, we have a blast from the past from a well-known face as we compare the old to the new.

The Toronto Blue Jays drop the series against the Atlanta Braves 2-1, losing the rubber match in extra innings. While this does help with the Blue Jays in their ability to tank for a better draft pick, it is not fun watching this baseball team throw away games that they have excellent chances of winning. The defense was an issue with the Blue Jays in game 3, as the infield had some mishaps that extended innings and gave the Braves free chances at clawing back into the game. Spencer Horwitz had a legacy game on Saturday, belting two home runs and cashing in for 11 total bases on the day. To end things, we discuss Jordan Romano and updates regarding his rehab, bringing light to his state, and when we can expect him to pitch for the Blue Jays again. We break down all the most up-to-date Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays only have 21 games of baseball left in the 2024 season. With the team having another off day Thursday, we decided to break down which players have convinced us that they have earned a spot on the Blue Jays roster for next season, which players may have bench/utility roles, and which players we can see returning to Triple-A Buffalo for the start of next season. The Toronto Blue Jays lost the series to the Philadelphia Phillies as they dropped the second game of the series 4-2. Kyle Schwarber could not be stopped in this series. He hit four home runs, had 21 total bases and was the prime source of run production for the Phillies over this stretch. With this performance, we decided to go back in time to 2022 to discuss when Schwarber was almost a Blue Jay, and how his presence would have changed the trajectory of what present-day Toronto Blue Jay baseball has become. Would his power have lifted the Jays over the hump? Would they have some playoff wins to show for it? We also take some time to break down the Bowdin Francis start from yesterday, as well as other highlights and performances that stuck out over the last 48 hours of baseball. We’ll break down all this and more of the most shocking and important Blue Jays news and storylines on this episode of Locked On Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays blow a five-run lead and a six-run bottom of the first inning against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Blue Jays accrued eight hits in the 1st inning, coming to the Rogers Centre meaning business, but let the Phillies hang around and it came back to bite them. From a fan perspective, this was a great game, and there are a lot of positives to take away from an offensive outburst, but it still is not fun losing a game they should have won. In this episode, we dissect this game play by play, breaking down the fireworks from the first inning to the pitching outbursts, all the way to discussions about the Buffalo Boys and their impacts in 2025. We bring you all the most shocking and up-to-date news and storylines daily, on Locked On Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost their series to the Minnesota Twins over the weekend, which is pretty much putting an end to their playoff hopes for good. The Toronto Blue Jays have won six baseball games in a row, their longest winning streak of the season. As many of you heard, Danny Jansen made history in today's game, becoming the first player to play on both teams in the same game. Unfortunately for him, the Blue Jays won this game 4-1 a long grind over two months to finally pull out the win. George Springer had home runs in both games, allowing the Jays to come out of the doubleheader with the sweep. Pitching was not a problem in these games, as efforts from Jose Berrios, Ryan Yarborough and company only allowed the Red Sox to score four runs in two games. In this episode, we will recap both games from Monday and the history that was made, player performances (focused on Davis Schneider), break down the highlights from both games and bring you the most exciting Toronto Blue Jays News and Storylines.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Los Angeles Angels once again, and this game ended 5-3 in favor of the Blue Jays. This was an interesting win as Ryan Yarbrough pitched 5 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing the starting pitching to get a rest while keeping the offense invested in their at-bats. Ernie Clement continues to put together crazy at-bats, hitting a home run on a head-height pitch, and has settled into his role with the Toronto Blue Jays. While watching the Blue Jays win is fun, this win puts them farther ahead of the Angels, dropping their odds of getting the #1 overall pick. In this episode, we break down the first game of the Angels and Blue Jays series, as well as analyze individual player performances, highlight plays, and hot and cold streaks, and even answer a few fan questions on the most shocking news and storylines regarding the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat up the Cincinnati Reds, outscoring them 10-3 in game two of the series. It was a launchpad at the Rogers Center as the Blue Jays hit five home runs in the game, the first time they have accomplished that feat in over two months. Jose Berrios had a dominant day, eating seven innings and carving through a disgruntled Reds lineup. This was a fun baseball game to watch as the offense was firing on all cylinders, the Blue Jays were hitting for power and Jose Berrios pitched long enough that we did not have to use many relief pitchers. In this episode, we break down this wild game from the series, as well as analyze a steller pitcher over this recent stretch for the Toronto Blue Jays, what he has switched up in his game, and what he can do to continue to have success for the rest of the season in 2024, as well as cover all the newest and most up to date Toronto Blue Jays news and storylines.

Some MASSIVE news from Bob Nightengale came out over the weekend, stating that the Blue Jays will entertain trade offers for shortstop, Bo Bichette. These will all be questions that are answered in this episode. We also dive into the weekend series against the Chicago Cubs, breaking down each game's highlights, storylines, and performances as the Blue Jays tried to build some momentum from their previous series sweep against the Angels.

Since the early weeks of June, Davis Schneider has been in a slump. He is striking out at an alarming rate and unfortunately has taken on a bench role over the last few weeks of baseball. We discuss what went wrong for the young slugger, how pitchers are exploiting his one weakness, and how he can overcome these issues to allow himself to compete for an everyday role going into the 2025 MLB season. We answer another mailbag question on this episode, comparing two Toronto Blue Jays rosters and how they would match up against each other in a four-game series. On this episode of Locked On Blue Jays, we break down Davis Schneider and his rollercoaster start to his career, questions from Blue Jays fans, a series preview, quotes from analysts and bring you the most up-to-date Blue Jays news and storylines as we get into the last quarter of the MLB season.
