Cloverleaf Radio's host, "The Host with the Most" Jimmy Falcon welcomes back Comedian/Producer/Actor, Steve Bluestein makes his return to the show for the first time in nearly a decade! Biography via www.stevebluestein.biz: Doing stand up comedy for years, Steve Bluestein has finally come into his own as a playwright. His talent has been honed from years of pounding the boards in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Reno, Tahoe and countless comedy clubs across the nation. In the last few years his career (which includes television, feature films, cable and personal appearances) has taken a new direction. After writing for Norman Lear, he joined the sit com staff of “THIRTEEN EAST” for NBC, then went on to “TOTALLY HIDDEN VIDEO” as a segment producer for Fox TV and “THE NEW CANDID CAMERA” for Universal. Moving behind the scenes, he was production coordinator for SURPRISE GARDENER on HGTV. And rounding out his talents, his design skills were featured when his home was seen on Kitty Bartholomew’s YOU’RE HOME (also on HGTV). Most recently, his play WHEN ONE IS GONE won the Chameleon Theater Circle playwrights’ award, was also a finalist in the Palm Springs Playwrights’ Festival. His play Rest, In Pieces has been optioned for Broadway and most recently had a staged reading in New York City with Olympia Dukakis and Louis Zorich. To add to his list of credits, Steve has been cast in the lead of Sam Bobreck’s new play ANNOYANCE, which is in pre-production for a New York City opening. As always, Steve returns to his first love Stand-Up comedy as often as possible. His last tour has taken him from Coast to Coast. Most recently he opened for Lanie Kazan in concert and once again returning to Laughlin, Nevada to the Riverside Casino and The Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. “A strong improviser, it is recommended you not sit up front if you don’t want to talk to this fast witted comedian. His stock and trade is his rapid wit and an ability to improvise on any subject at the drop of a hat. See his show over and over again, 80% of the material will be new.” “I have to do it that way”, says the comedian… “otherwise I get too bored to stand on stage!” Bored is something you won’t be, Steve is hysterical. Steve Bluestein is a man for all seasons, a comedian for all audiences… he’s a must see! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jianetwork/support

Cloverleaf Radio's host The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon welcomes back Author Dacre Stoker, The Great Grand Nephew of Dracula Author Bram Stoker! From Wikipedia:. Dacre Calder Stoker (born August 23, 1958) is a Canadian-American author, sportsman and filmmaker. Stoker was born in Montreal, Quebec. He is the great-grandnephew of Irish author Bram Stoker, the author of the 1897 Gothic novel Dracula. He lived in his childhood in Montreal, Quebec and attended the Bishop's College School. He taught for several years at Appleby College. Stoker is a former member of the Canadian men's pentathlon team. He coached the team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Because of the Stokers' frustrating history with Dracula's copyright, Dacre, with encouragement from screenwriter Ian Holt, decided to write "a sequel that bore the Stoker name" to "reestablish creative control over" the original novel. In 2009, Dracula the Un-dead was released, written by Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt. Both writers claim to have "based [their work] on Bram Stoker's own handwritten notes for characters and plot threads excised from the original edition" along with their own research for the sequel, though the plot and characters often directly contradict the original novel. This also marked Dacre Stoker's writing debut. Winnipeg Free Press reviewer Kenneth MacKendrick called it "tempting enough to read and bad enough to be controversial, striking a balance between sensationalism and mediocrity". Stoker contributed to Dracula in Visual Media: Film, Television, Comic Book and Electronic Game Appearances, 1921–2010, along with Caroline Joan Picart, David J. Skal, J. Gordon Melton and John Edgar Browning. Stoker directed, produced and wrote the 2011 documentary film Dracula meets Stoker. Stoker, with his colleague Hans C. De Roos, is currently working on a Bram Stoker Dracula travel guide which will identify real-life locations mentioned in Stoker's novel as well as highlight the places Bram grew up in. In 2018, he released Dracul, a prequel to Dracula which he wrote alongside J. D. Barker. Paramount has purchased the rights for the movie. Director Andy Muschietti, It producers Barbara Muschietti and Roy Lee have been hired to work on it. Dacre, his wife, Jenne Stoker, and their two children live in Aiken, South Carolina, where he is the executive director of the Aiken Land Conservancy.
