Proverbs 4:25-27 Eric Price Despite the convenience, knowledge, and entertainment our increasingly digital world can provide, the glow emanating from our electronic devices can often blind and distract us from daily beholding the bright-shining glory of Christ and the significance of the mission to which he has called us.
The Fight For Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 15.12-34 Jobey McGinty If Jesus didn't raise from the grave, both body and soul, Christians should be the people who should be most pitied. Without the resurrection, as humans we can only expect more of the same: death, sickness, poverty, loneliness, sin.  But the resurrection is the first sign of something new, something better, and something filled with hope for a future that is currently hopeless.
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.26-40 Jobey McGinty Are we free to design our lives and interactions with others however we see fit?  Or is there a better way?  God is a God of order, and even models how we should relate with one another, show respect to one another, submit to one another, and serve one another.  How does this apply to our lives, in our families, marriages, churches, and friendships?
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.6-25 Jobey McGinty What is the gift of tongues, and is it still in action today?  What was the whole purpose of tongues in the first place? These are just a few of the questions we face when it comes to this extraordinary and unusual gift that God gave to the church, and the Corinthians were prone to misuse it.
Jobey McGinty, interviewing Leslie Salazar-Carillo, CEO Pathway Health Clinic In light of the new legislation passed in New York concerning abortion last week, we take time to look at the topic of abortion, specifically, how we who are pro-life respond to a culture that is ever-increasing in its promotion and allowance of shedding the blood of innocent lives. How does the every day Christian - a stay-at-home mom, a 9-5 employee, a high school student - those who may not know much about politics or consider themselves to be "activists," but who are both concerned yet also feel helpless, actually make a difference and be a part of the long term solution to save the lives of voiceless, defenseless babies? How do we also not act in arrogant judgement and engage in productive discussions and relationships with those we differ with? And, maybe most importantly, how do we care for the young women and couples who are facing difficult and life-changing decisions? Pastor Jobey also invites congregation member Leslie Salazar-Carillo, CEO of Pathway Health Clinic in Vista, CA, to share insights and great encouragement to the church as we learn to respond to a growing crisis. Growing the Roots of Wisdom Jobey McGinty We often set goals and have desires to fulfill a particular vision for our life, but without a plan, it is simply wishful thinking. We not only need a strategy, but a strategy that actually provides us with the power to live out the strategy in a way that helps us attain the goals we have. God has given us three primary means to be roots that help connect us into the living water of the Gospel: the Word of God, Prayer, and Gospel Community.

Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty   What will our eternal future be like? What will our bodies and the place we live be like? Chances are, it will be different than what you thought it would be growing up. It will be far greater than you can imagine!
Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty We need a Redeemer. We have sinned against the God of the Universe, and are currently "out on bail," living freely in this life. But one day, we will stand before the Judge to state our case for why we should be forgiven for committing cosmic treason. On our own, we have no case, we have no hope. We need a Redeemer to come in and stand in our place.
Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud Jobey McGinty How does the Fall of Man display God's Wisdom? It seems that when something we create becomes broken, it proves a lack of wisdom on our part. But this is not so with God. He weaves this incredible story and reveals His wisdom in it even through its darkest parts.
Advent: Wisdom Cries Aloud - God's Wisdom in Creating All Things Jobey McGinty Christ is the Wisdom of God, and when He came to the earth 2,000 years ago, we got to see and behold God's Wisdom in the flesh. But the leading up to His birth, and the result of His life, is what makes His appearance, His Advent, so awe-inspiring and the ultimate display of His Wisdom.
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.1-4 Jobey McGinty Regardless of what we believe about the spiritual gifts (particularly prophecy and prophets), how do we discern what to do and how to make decisions when we believe God is leading us in a particular direction? How do we make godly decisions and live a life that is fueled by the Holy Spirit?
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 14.1-4 Jobey McGinty What was the role of New Testament prophets and prophecy, and are the New Testament prophets and prophecy that Paul describes in his letters still around today? In this sermon, we look at these and other questions concerning this hotly debated gift of the Holy Spirit.
Wisdom Cries Aloud - Proverbs 29:25 Eric Price We live in a noisy world, with many different voices and enticements coming from every angle. At the head of the street Wisdom is crying out for us to run to her; to close our ears and turn our hearts away from the many distractions that would keep us trapped in self-centered pursuits. But will we return the call, seeking after Wisdom as silver or gold?
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 13.1-13 Jobey McGinty The Corinthian church was looking at their personal giftings and place in society as a way of finding their identity, prominence, and value. But Paul says there is a much better way to find those things, and a much better way to use our gifts, and that is the way of love. We could be the most talented and gifted people in our community, but if we are not doing things out of love, it is nothing. But what does real love look like, and how to do grow in our love for others?
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 13.1-3 Jobey McGinty The Corinthian church was looking at their personal giftings and place in society as a way of finding their identity, prominence, and value. But Paul says there is a much better way to find those things, and a much better way to use our gifts, and that is the way of love. The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 12.14-31 Jobey McGinty Each person has been uniquely gifted by God to play an important role in the body of Christ. Though we may think we are less important or unimportant, just because we believe or feel that does not make it true. We each have an important role to play, whether we like our role or even see our role or not.
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 12.1-13 Jobey McGinty What are spiritual gifts, and why are they given? Does everyone have them, and how do we discover which we have? How do we learn to walk out this life in a "naturally supernatural" way, using our spiritual gifts in every day life?
The Fight for Wisdom - 1 Corinthians 11.17-34 Jobey McGinty Every week our church takes what we call "communion" or "the Lord's Supper." But what exactly is it, and why do we do it? What are the proper and improper ways we go about celebrating the Lord's Supper, and what can we do to ensure we partake of it properly?
