This episode Sheamus is back with an official Crime In Movies!!! Todays episode is an interesting one, as we look at a man who is probably the most famous we have done so far. From Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Biloxi Blues, to The Cable guy, and the original voice of adult Simba from The Lion King films. Matthew Broderick should still have a favorable career, but if that was the case he wouldn't be a story on this podcast. Evidentially Mr. Broderick is not the greatest driver, and has no recollection of the events prior to the accident, during, and after. In this episode we look at an amazing comedic actor, and SNL alum, Phil Hartman. In no way was Hartman a criminal or involved in anything criminalistics, but a crime was cast upon him. The dark night of May 28, 1998 the 49 year old legendary improv artist was killed by a very close member of his family. His days were cut severely short over what some have said was drugs. His home life seemed to be the one place he couldn't "escape." With Brynn (Hartman's late wife) having a friendship with fellow News Radio castmate Andy Dick(who was also abusing drugs) how could Phil's wife recover? This weeks episode we take a deeper look into the highly public "theater masturbation" crime. Assuming this was the only crime because of its publicity, I wasn't expecting to find more. Turns out this story is more of that of a redemption, he still committed a strange crime. Reubens along with a few other men were caught up in this "sweep" though it was a "dirty movie" theater, you cant do these things. With a career vastly different then most, seeing him comeback after a public shaming, took real courage. This episode we look at probably the most prolific actor we have done so far. Prolific for many reasons outside of his acting skills. With credits alongside Harrison Ford, Russel Crowe, and Tom Hanks this man should've had a bright future after portraying Michael Jordan in a tv-movie. Rosemary's baby is by Ira Levin, not Steven king. Also, Polanski drugged raped and sodomized the girl, he didn't have sex with her.
