I first met Elizabeth at a planning meeting for the Raleigh Women’s March in 2019, and she came on the show to talk about it then. We’re sad to announce that this is the last Tuesdays with Tillis Zoom Rally to be produced by the Triangle Talk Show 😥. The TWT rallies will continue (on Zoom, and back on the street when pandemic conditions permit), and you’ll be able to see them ‘Live and Memorex’ on the TwT Facebook Group. The TTS “Documentary Unit” (that’s Gary with a little video camera) went to Graham on November 3rd to observe the ‘replacement’ for the March to the Polls that had been disrupted by Graham and Alamance County police on October 31. While (tediously) editing that footage, Gary discovered quite a bit of other footage from October 31st. He pieced that together into as cohesive narrative as he could, and in this episode we present both. So this is a rare, edited Triangle Talk Show. Marchers in Graham (Alamance County NC) were stopped by the county Sheriff last Saturday (October 31) as they attempted to hold a rally and march to the polls. We heard the story from two of the activists present on the last TTS (Episode 120). They will try again on Tuesday, Election Day, November 3rd at 9 AM.
