Welcome to our coverage of the final episode of HBO's Game of Thrones series, "Fire and Blood". This episode provides a bit of both substances. We talk about the surprising success of Dany's little ritual, a shockingly spry Grand Maester, the promise of an epic ranging of the Night's Watch, and Robb being proclaimed DA KING IN DA NORFFF!! by his loyal bannermen. Not to mention tons of feedback, and our spoiler section safely tucked at the end of our podcast to avoid the ruination of future episodes for the first time fans.
Jim and A.Ron review a shocking episode 109 of HBO's Game of Thrones series, "Baelor". Things are going surprisingly well for Robb in his campaign to meet the Lannister forces in battle, surprisingly bad for Dany and Drogo over in Essos, and in King's Landing? Well, all I can say is never hand a 15 year old boy-king an open mic.
Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch of season one of HBO's Game of Thrones series, with episode 108, "The Pointy End". Another incredible early season episode, action packed with two epic fight scenes, direwolf savagery, zombie killings, Lannister wheeling and dealing, and intrigues and treachery galore. All this, and a ton of feedback, plus our customary spoiler section at the end where we talk about lore, character motivations, foreshadowing, and the rare continuity problem or two.
Jim and A.Ron are thrilled to be back for a sneaky good episode 107 of HBO's Game of Thrones, "You Win or You Die". Featuring the impressive debut of Daddy Lannister, a thrilling inspirational (before it gets scary) speech by Drogo, and more scheming, machinations, and back stabbing than you can shake a bundle of rushes at. Classic Game of Thrones, basically. All that, plus super-sized mailbags of both the unspoiled and spoiler variety, coming your way.
Jim and A.Ron are on vacation this week, and yet the spice must flow. We have a complete recap and review of Game of Thrones episode 106, 'A Golden Crown', as well as tons of feed back on same, coming right your way!
Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch of season one of HBO's Game of Thrones series, focusing on episode 105, "The Wolf and the Lion". Tyrion gets a room with a view, Catelyn regrets some recent life choices, Robert and Ned have a falling out, and Ned used to be an adventurer like you, and then... well, you know.
A.Ron and Jim continue their re-watch with episode 104 of HBO's Game of Thrones, "Bastards, Cripples, and Broken Things". If you're new to Game of Thrones, enjoy our spoiler free episode discussion and recap, but if you're a hard bitten, winter ready veteran of the Game, feel free to skip to 01:23:50 for our spoiler filled discussion of the episode as it fits into the over all series, including spoilers from the books!
Jim and A.Ron re-watch episode 103 of HBO's Game of Thrones, "Lord Snow". Tyrion p*sses off The Wall, Catelyn defies anyone to call her a "Back Alley Sally", Ned doesn't play around with stage choking, and Viserys gets whipped. What's there not to like?
Jim and A.Ron go back and re-watch episode 102 of HBO's Game of Thrones, entitled "The Kingsroad". Don't fear spoilers if you're a new listener, we do our best to contain any such advance knowledge to our SpoiLore section, which for you worldly people that have seen and read it all before, begins at the 00:58:20 mark!
And now our Watch begins. Jim and I start the process of backfilling our Game of Thrones Podcast catalog by revisiting the series premiere, episode 101, "Winter is Coming". If you're new to the series, don't fear, we don't spoil anything for future episodes, but we do have a Spoiler section at the end of our podcast for people who want to stick around and talk about the show in the broader context of having seen all six seasons or read all of the available books.
Jim and A.Ron reflect on Season Six, look ahead to Season Seven, and consider just a metric ton of listener feedback on this week's episode. And hey! We're not going anywhere! Next week we're starting a re-watch of the series next week with episode 101, "Winter is Coming"... hope you stay with us!

Jim and A.Ron consider the thrilling episode 609 of HBO's Game of Thrones, "Battle of the Bastards". While it could perhaps be accused of having far more heart than brains, director Miguel Sapochnik goes for broke to make us as the audience collectively feel the horrors of war and the heat of dragon's breath. What price will the victor's pay? And what happens next? All these questions and more are considered, with the help of feedback and commentary from our fellow fans.
Jim and A.Ron survey the horrors of war that is episode 609 of HBO's Game of Thrones, "Battle of the Bastards", and proclaim it brutal, ultimately satisfying, if a tad predictable. There were no real surprises to be found tonight if you've been paying attention the past few weeks, but it's still nice to see the end of some truly nasty regimes tonight, even if the casualties were high in both the statistical and personal sense. At this stage each loss of life is going to hurt in the war to come, that still awaits north of the wall. And we still don't know the true cost of the hasty alliances made with the Greyjoys and Littlefinger's Arryn forces. And will Sansa's talk of "no one" be prophetic? We ponder all this and more in this Instant Take. Be sure to rejoin us on Tuesday for our complete scene by scene break down with tons of commentary from our fellow fans.

Jim and A.Ron still don't like the resolution of Arya's Bravosi plotline, but admire a lot of the other goings on in the latest episode of HBO's Game of Thrones, "No One". The problem is, that's a big part of the episode and over two years of investment into Arya's Faceless Men training, so, it's no minor thing. Other topics include the duality of Jaime, what's next for King's Landing, and is Sandor considering a second career as people's champion?
Jim and A.Ron are not sure what to make of Arya's plot tonight during the latest episode of Game of Thrones, "No One". And yes, while the Mountain wrecking and Sandor chopping was admittedly cool, and the 30 seconds of Dany kind of made up for Tyrion's stale comedy stylings, and far be it from us to look askance at any scene where Jaime and Brienne make moon eyes at each other and speak of honor, we're kind of bummed that the King and High Sparrow seems to have dumped a bucket of cold water on our Cleganebowl hopes. No man is as accursed as a Hypeslayer, Tommen.
love your show
there was someone walking behing the girls while in the sept
tyrian is targaryen his mother was raped by mad king. hence hair color
So glad this feed came back. Please continue to do the books. My only negative feedback would be to try and match the show/books more. I am listening primarily for the books. It got me off my butt to re-read before Martin finally puts out the next one. I dont' like watching ahead in the show to keep up with your discussion on that while I'm further back in the book. either drop the show part or sync them up, maybe do a few chapters at a time for the book or only do the tv show every few weeks.
spot on guys.
Would love to hear a his dark materials podcast.
Hello Baldmove. You were wondering if there ever were other dragon-on-dragon battles. If memory serves, I can think of three movies, though The Long Night certainly has the longest scenes of dragons battling. The first Dungeons&Dragons movie has some scenes of red and gold dragons fighting and crashing into each other, poor movie though. The second Dragonheart movie has also baby gold and big red dueling. Last is Eragon, when the warlock summons a sort of ghost dragon and rides that into battle.
the fact that even these guys are in shock of the farce that was this ending really shows how bad the show ended up.
Love the Rick and Morty reference
It's OK. It's not though out or researched but it's a discussion
Love love love djwadi's score
Jesus, what two whiny bitches.
Bronn isn't worse or more dangerous than Little Finger as master of coin.
The dragon knew the throne cost Dany her life. Was not a great ending but the dragon melting the throne was pretty clear and obvious.
how do I send feed back? and where can i send in my own ideas? love this podcast!
The ending was so bad it wasn't even funny.
Dany went crazy just like her dad. Jaime killed Dany's dad because he went berzerk roasting everyone, and it's obviously a mental illness that runs in the family.
I love it when A.Ron goes....woof....woof....
The idea of Greyworm on the council is ridiculous, he's been essentially the leader of Dany's genocide the last 2 episodes.
my goodness every single scene you guys are cutting down. I just don't get it. You have criticisms, fine. But holy shit listening to you guys go on and on about your problems and your grievances is just so boring and used. You lost a listener.
