Sometimes it is fun to explore outside the normal music of harmony, melody, and rhythm. This is where noise music comes in. Here is a case for noise.
Devo is one of my favorite acts of all time. DIY ethos, quirky music, and a punk attitude. Some folks dismiss them as a novelty. This is why they matter.
It may be counter intuitive, but limiting options when creating can lead to a creative spark. Try it out. I just got a new system to go DAWless and limit options.

People will try to bring you down. Most often the problem is on their side, in their head, they just want you to fell as bad as they do. Don’t fall for it!
Recently I was told someone thinks I should act my age. What they mean is conform to the way they think I should live my life. No way! We creatives are a quirky, odd bunch, and we are important in society. We should always hold our creativity sacred, especially when confronted by the “normal” world. A world without quirky creatives is a world without music, art, comics, movies, novels, and on and on. Don’t ever cave in to other's views on how you should live. Always be creative.

Corporate media strikes again. Netflix started out as the answer to network silliness. Now it may be an even bigger part of the problem. They take our money but show no loyalty to subscribers.
