Във втория епизод на ''Псевдо - Говорилня'' гостува бившият ученик от ЧСУ  “Увекинд” - Любен Дайнов, който учи военни науки и история в Кингс Колидж, Лондон. В тази ''говорилния'', Ема Марашлян от 11ти клас и Любо обсъждат въпроси от ценността на това да си IB ученик до важността на участието младите в политиката.

Цецо, или Шерифа, е охраната на Увекинд. Той е сърцето на училището и затова решихме да направим тази интересна рубрика, в която той ни споделя любимите си вицове, забавни истории и битовизми в рамките на минута - две. Всяка седмица - нова минутка!

In this episode two young people discussed how the idea of beauty and fashion influences the way we express ourselves; how we are accepted by our peers and people around us. They also discussed the pros and cons of plastic surgery.

On the 5th of December, the International School Uwekind joined the global community in commemorating International Volunteer Day. As part of our Middle Year (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) International Baccalaureate our students engage in a variety of voluntary programmes. During their school years, our students are actively involved in numerous projects inspired by the things they feel passionate about.  Our teachers have given their students endless support, resources and motivation to engage in different volunteer activities, since many of them have been involved in such themselves. Some of the projects concern environmental issues, such as preserving bees, recycling, engaging in training and activities protecting human and animal rights, etc. Here in this podcast, we have 9th-grade students, Nadezda Mishtalova, Nadezda Hristeva, Joana Boyanova, Teodora Terzieva, Hristo Vasilev and our teacher Ivan Iliev share their experience as volunteers.

UN Model “Climate Change” in Uwekind International School On the 30th of October, 11th-grade students from the International School of Uwekind organized and took part in a Model United Nations on “Climate Change”. This event was inspired and provoked at the same time by one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and more specifically, Goal 13: Climate Action. Climate Change has been a topic that has involved people globally.Тhe UN Climate Action Summit that was held this year on the 23rd of September in New York demonstrated that serious commitment and practical steps must be taken in order to avoid further irreversible natural disasters. Our students decided that they needed to feel involved and raise awareness about these important issues not only in our school but community as well. For this reason, they decided to organize a Model UN and do extensive research on the positions different countries had on Climate Change. The students prepared their statements and during the UN Model had a very lively discussion and debate on the topic. In the end, they were able to adopt a resolution on Climate Change, demonstrating what steps member states should take in order to come up with an effective action plan that would help reduce greenhouse emissions and restore the ecosystems as a whole. The students shared that the UN Model helped them learn about the UN system, how it works, how to prepare a position paper, draft a resolution, give a speech, and have a debate. Learning about the world through different interactive sessions and simulations is part of our International Baccalaureate Programme, which nurtures curious, knowledgable, open-minded, and principled young people.
