Utah Valley's Greg Williams will coach his final home meet as the only Division I college wrestling coach in the state of Utah when the Wolverines host California Baptist on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Lockhart Arena (11 a.m. MT, Youtube.com/GoUVU). But before he led the Wolverines against the Lancers, the long-time fixture in Utah wrestling who led Sky View High School to an 87-8 record and former 14-team coach of the Utah national wrestling team sat down with KSL.com to talk about his career, the changes he's seen in the program, and his successor Adam Hall. Utah Archers head coach Chris Bates and midfielder Ryan Ambler join the show to talk about the PLL's move to Utah and the defending league champion Archers' role in the move, the upcoming 2024 Championship Series in Washington D.C., and growing the game of lacrosse in the western United States.
BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe fields questions from the local media during a wide-ranging conversation about the Big 12 Conference, scheduling, and College Football Playoff expansion (among other topics) during a question-and-answer session, Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 in Provo.
Former Utah Warriors assistant coach Shawn Pittman was thrown into the deep end in January, tasked with taking over as interim manager of Utah's professional rugby franchise following the sudden resignation of Australian Wallabies legend Chris Latham. No experience, no training, no warning.  Sink or swim in his first full-time head coaching job in Major League Rugby.  Pittman -- and the Warriors -- chose to swim, surging into the Top 4 of the 12-team league and qualifying for Utah's first playoff berth since the league's inaugural season of 2018. Now the full-time manager rather than a caretaker, Pittman reflected on the past nine months in charge, and what he wants of the club moving forward in this exclusive conversation with KSL.com.  Listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, or where ever you get your podcasts. And don't forget to leave a rating or review on your way out.
Let's make one thing clear: Timpview junior safety JJ Tuha is not Jaren Hall. But the ESPN broadcast confused the Thunderbirds' strong safety for BYU's starting quarterback prior to the Cougars' 35-28 win over South Florida on Saturday night. How did it happen? And what does Tuha think about the moment?  "It was really random. I wasn't expecting it at all," said Tuha, who has literal family (by marriage) on the BYU football team that is currently ranked No. 13 nationally in the latest AP Top 25.  Listen to the complete conversation between KSL.com podcast host Sean Walker, Tuha and his dad Jeff as they recount one of the more memorable 24 hours in the longtime Cougar-blooded family's recent history.
Premier Lacrosse League co-founder and Cannons midfielder Paul Rabil joins the show to talk about the PLL quarterfinals, which will be held Friday and Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium (NBC and NBC Sports Network) one year after hosting a wildly successful "bubble tournament" at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.
Speaking at a media event for the 2021 Utah Open, former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo dished praise on Jets starter and BYU product Zach Wilson, referring to him as “a young Dan Marino.”

BYU unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Built Brands, LLC, an American Fork-based business that specializes in protein bars and energy supplements. The local company inked an individual sponsorship with each player, but specifically sponsored the Cougars' walk-on football players to endorse their product through practice gear, product placement and social media, in exchange for a year's worth of tuition for each player. Did the first-of-its-kind deal change the game in the wild, wild west of name, image and likeness?
The Campus Report podcast is back to talk about BYU football and the first week of training camp for the 2021 season. One thing that stands out: Just how deep is the Cougars' wide receiver room? Between Gunner Romney, Neil Pau'u and Pac-12 transfers Puka Nacua and Samson Nacua, could this be the deepest wide receiver group in head coach Kalani Sitake's tenure? Sean talks to the Nacua brothers to see just how good the gang could be. Subscribe to the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, or where ever else you get your podcasts. And don't forget to leave a rating and review.
Utah Valley athletic director Jared Sumsion introduces the fifth head coach of Utah Valley University's baseball program, Eddie Smith, who most recently was the hitting coach at LSU. Smith will succeed longtime head coach Eric Madsen as soon as the Tigers wrap up their postseason, which begins this weekend in the NCAA's Eugene (Ore.) Regional. Full story available here.
Alex Barcello spoke with local media Friday night, May 28, to discuss his reasons for delaying his professional career another year and returning for a second senior season with BYU basketball and his goals for the 2021-22 season  — as well as the most important thing: his recent engagement to longtime girlfriend Zoe Simpson.  Read more at KSL.com.
BYU forward Gideon George met with the media following his 19-point, 13-rebound effort in a 105-60 win at Portland — a game where he singlehandedly outrebounded the Pilots. The Cougars will face No. 1 Gonzaga on Monday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. MT on ESPN. #BYUhoops
Former BYU safety Daniel Sorensen, a seventh-year safety with the Kansas City Chiefs with a knack for making big plays, meets with members of the media, Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 ahead of Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida.
Dixie State coach Paul Peterson sat down to talk about the first day of the FCS spring football season, the Trailblazers' first formal practice as a Division I team, and what a move to the Western Athletic Conference will do for Utah's newest Division I college football program.
BYU's new passing game coordinator won't be moving far, as the university has promoted wide receivers coach Fesi Sitake to the new role. The former Weber State offensive coordinator will keep his positional coaching responsibilities, as well.
There was no need for introductions, name tags or even an opening statement, as Aaron Roderick met with the local media after his promotion to offensive coordinator at BYU. He's already plenty well known.  So, too, is the offensive system he's keeping in Provo after Jeff Grimes' departure for Baylor. (Photo: Laura Seitz, Deseret News)
