On this week's SDKT, Ryan and Lucas discuss some rumors surround the free agent decisions of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard. Followed up by a recap of the NBA award show. In baseball (20:55) the guys give their picks for the MLB All-Star game and home run derby.
This week Lucas and Ryan go over the Raptors defeating the Warriors and capturing their first ever NBA Championship. They discuss everything NBA FInals including where this Finals ranks compared to previous finals and how the impact of Kawhi Leonard could affect the way stars are used. They also go over the current state of the Golden State Warriors, where they are compared to the other great dynasties and how much time they have left. They also discuss the blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Lakers, which side won, and how the trade should impact next season (0:00-32:50). In the MLB they do their Down on the DL segment and a shocking comparison between one of the league's biggest stars and one aging veteran who in reality are not much different (32:50-44:37). On this week's episode the guys take a deep dive on the action packed NBA finals thus far with the devastating injury to Kevin Durant and how the Warriors can move forward from it. Can the Raps win it all? In baseball (32:50) Craig Kimbrel and Dallas Keuchel have finally signed. But how will they impact their new teams? We also had an incident with Max Muncy and Madison Bumgarner. Rounding out the show with some sad news about David Ortiz.
This week Lucas and Ryan discuss the results of the first two games of the NBA finals. They dissect everything the Raptors did right in game one and what adjustments the Warriors made for game two. They preview the upcoming games in the series and explain exactly how the Raptors can still win. They also go over the many implications of this NBA finals, even how they could affect the legacy of LeBron James (0:00-20:45).
