President Gail O. Mellow was at the 14th Annual Thomson Avenue Film Festival to announce the winner of the Heads Up LaGuardia video competition. Along with short films and music videos, students were asked to create a 30 second PSA on the benefits of free college tuition. This award winning feature length documentary about the decline of physical media was created by Tom Seymour and Ken Powell of the Media Studies department at LAGCC. The students Orion Brown, Paul Paulino and Gary Alvarez worked on the film in various roles from camera to grip work.
