Fear is a very detructive force to the mind and the spirit.
The intricate balance of our immune system is key to protection from cancer and infection. The sympathetic nervous system activated at low levels helps mature immune cells that are key to fighting cancer and infections. Over stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system actually has a deleterious affect on the immune system increasing risk of illness.
Healthy love has positive effects on the body. Feelings of love have been shown to reduce heart disease, lower blood pressure, improve the immune system, help us recover faster from illness, and increase longevity.
Stress is inevitable. There is healthy stress that helps us live productive lives but there is unhealthy stress that can lead to chronic illness. Obesity is an chronic inflammatory state and over time suppresses the immune system.
Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace but it's has even a deeper meaning: harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare, and tranquility. Join me today in the journey of how peace (rest) leads to physical and spiritual health

Did you know okra is a fruit with cancer fighting properties? Food both spiritual and physical is medicine for our soul and body. Emotions are real but unhealthy emotions can over time damage our soul and our body.
Rest, diet, and meditation are some steps to staying healthy during stress. Stress can suppress our immune system increasing our risk of illness. Resting our mind, body, and spirit is very important to a healthy immune system. Certain foods can support the immune system- blueberries, spinach, broccoli, kefir, almonds, sunflower seeds, oily fish, oranges and kiwi, tumeric, sweet potatoes, ginger, garlic, green tea, red bell pepper, and dark chocolate. Fasting also supercharges our immune cells helping them fight infection better.
Stress can increase our risk of illness. In this era of COVID-19, not only is important to wash your hands, limit contacts, and large crowds, but it's just important to take measure to care mentally and physically for yourself.
