Episode Number SEVEN of Transparently Trans covers one of the most important things in almost every transgender person’s life—Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). If you’ve never heard the term before, that’s okay. We don’t expect you to. HRT is not to be confused with TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) that a lot of middle-aged or older men are given to replacement lost Testosterone (although for transgender men, it is similar!) This episode really digs into WHAT Hormone Replacement Therapy is, WHO Hormone Replacement Therapy is for, WHY transgender individuals choose to begin the process, and HOW the process can be started! Episode 07 is the first of a 3-part mini-series about Hormone Replacement Therapy. The next two episodes will go more in depth about Female-to-Male Hormone Replacement Therapy and the specifics surrounding it! As always, thank you all SO much for the support! Episode Number Six of Transparently Trans discusses PASSING! Disclaimer: I'm SO sorry for the terrible audio quality of this episode. This episode goes over EVERYTHING you need to know about FTM Top Surgery! Okay... maybe not everything, but I do try to cover all of the basics. This episode covers what top surgery is, what different types there are, how much they cost, how the surgeries are performed, and even some post-op care.
