Welcome to the Inspired To Greatness podcast, where we share insights and inspiration for entrepreneurs, business owners, and salespeople to be their best selves. In today's episode, we'll talk about accountability, a crucial component of success in business and life. Welcome to Inspired to Greatness... the show all about spreading inspiration, motivation, and being great., I am your host, I hope you are having an amazing day, my friends! It has been quite a while since we've done a show... but today we are talking about priorities! To change your life, you need to change your priorities.” Mark Twain“There is no one busy in this world, it’s always about priorities. You will always find time for the things you feel important.” Nishan Panwar“If it’s a priority you’ll find a way. If it isn’t, you’ll find an excuse.” Jim Rohn____Tips for prioritizing:1. Set goals and stick to them. - Goals are your road map.2. Do what you dread first. - As Mark Twain famously said, “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning.”3. Don't over commit... learn to say 'NO' sometimes.4. Lists. There are a million ways to make and use task lists, but you can't prioritize your tasks until you know them all.5. Learn to Delegate.6. Learn to Outsource.Ask questions to help you set your priorities:* Does this task directly support the goals we set for this time period?* What do I absolutely have to accomplish today?* When does this need to get done by?* Am I excited about this?* Do I have the energy and brainpower required to do this effectively today/right now?Book to Read: "Goals" by Brian Tracy-----This episode is powered by PodDecks - Pod Decks are unique interview questions and episode starting prompts in the palm of your hand. The absence of empathy and understanding are sufficient.” Charles M. Blow“The opposite of anger is not calmness, it’s empathy.” Mehmet Oz“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”― Edmund BurkeEmpathy is the ability to feel what the other person is feeling. It is to experience their emotions. It is the ability to put yourself in the other person’s shoes in a big and meaningful way. Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage your own emotions, as well as the emotions of others.-----This episode is powered by PodDecks - Pod Decks are unique interview questions and episode starting prompts in the palm of your hand. After all, it's yours! But take the time to look at situations from other people's perspectives. * Pay attention to body language – Perhaps when you listen to someone, you cross your arms, move your feet back and forth, or bite your lip. This body language  tells others how you really feel about a situation, and the message you're giving isn't positive! Learning to read body language can be a real asset in a leadership role, because you'll be better able to determine how someone truly feels. This gives you the opportunity to respond appropriately.* Respond to feelings – You ask your assistant to work late – again. And although he agrees, you can hear the disappointment in his voice. So, respond by addressing his feelings. Tell him you appreciate how willing he is to work extra hours, and that you're just as frustrated about working late. If possible, figure out a way for future late nights to be less of an issue (for example, give him Monday mornings off).“No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.” – Theodore Roosevelt“Yet, taught by time, my heart has learned to glow for other’s good, and melt at other’s woe.” – Homer“Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.”- Simone WeilThanks for joining us on Inspired to Greatness, please check back with us each and every week for fresh tips and new guests. Welcome to Inspired to Greatness... the show all about spreading inspiration, motivation, and being great., I am your host, I hope you are having an amazing day, my friends! Today we are talking about MOTIVATIONSelf-motivation includes our personal drive to improve and achieve, commitment to our goals, initiative, or readiness to act on opportunities, and optimism and resilience.Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.Roy T. Bennett“Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.” —Les Brown“You can look for external sources of motivation and that can catalyze a change, but it won’t sustain one. It has to be from an internal desire.” —Jillian Michaels“In my experience, there is only one motivation, and that is desire. No reasons or principle contain it or stand against it.” —Jane Smiley“Understanding motivation is one of the most important things we can do in our lives, because it has such a bearing on why we do the things we do and whether we enjoy them or not.” —Clayton Christensen-----This episode is powered by PodDecks - Pod Decks are unique interview questions and episode starting prompts in the palm of your hand. Positive thinking may not be doing the trick. What should you do? Consider these suggestions:* Write down your plan for improvement.* Briefly think about your past successes.* Read books that promote self-motivation.“The best motivation is self-motivation. The guy says, ‘I wish someone would come by and turn me on.’ What if they don’t show up? You’ve got to have a better plan for your life.” —Jim Rohn“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.” —Vince Lombardi“You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary. The only lasting thing is self-motivation.” ―Homer Rice”Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.” —Wayne DyerThanks for joining us on Inspired to Greatness, please check back with us each and every week for fresh tips and new guests.
