Can one multifunctional design solution foster the various furniture needs of a festival? The Puzzle Peace is a smart furniture design that consists of one system of ‘puzzle pieces’ with which diverse types of furniture (tables, seating, stages, bars) can be made, which are also easy to transport or store.

Takka Takka is a game designed for people with dementia. Elli studies to become a Performative Arts teacher at NHL Stenden, but this week she's focussed on interaction design.

Eric works on a special project at DORP. The preparation for the highest concert in the world. In two or three months from now, the team of Chopin in the Clouds plans to build a dome out of plastic bottles at 5000 meters above sea level in the Zanskar mountain range.

BioSphere is a glass capsule used to collect water from plants. Marc normally designs spaces, but he's been working on this water filtering system for a while now. He aims to turn the idea into a product or education tool.

Save Your (Sigaret) Butt! Oftentimes, these butts are just thrown on the ground or put away with all the other trash. To change that, Marie and the Save The Butt team are working on multiple collection solutions.

At BioPack they trying to develop an alternative to plastic packaging for take-out foods. Instead of using plastics, they're using wood pulp compressed into the shape of a food-tray.

Off The Grid is a project that aims to simplify the planning for energy solutions at festivals. Then are currently developing a game that walks you through all the steps of coming up with the right energy solution to your own festival.

A stage, not one where you go to listen to an artist or a band, but instead one where you go to perform and collaborate. That's the Mainstage at Welcome to the Village. Located at DORP there is a very small and cosy stage where the visitors of the festival are challenged to collaborate on a performance. Would you join in?

An electric cart is not something you might expect to see at a primary school. Though, if it's up to Symen and his Sjipkist, every kid will soon get to build one at school. He's working to educate and inspire young children on the topic of eco-friendly transportation.

Not all projects work out as planned. Of course it's amazing to create an awesome solution to test at the festival, but everyonce in a while a project encounters problems along the way. In some cases this may cause the entire project to pivot. As is what happend to the project that Alena and Elly worked on.
