The overwhelming success of genetics and molecular biology in the 1970s had an unfortunate side effect. First time listening to this podcast. it seems strange, not only are the ideas about mobile genetic elements affecting evolution, and this guy who is apparently an expert, but he seems to not know about epigenetics and the evidence that those changes can also be inherited. https://www.nature.com/articles/nrmicro1235
