Why does your podcast's sound quality always sound like garbage? Very hard to listen to.

wow, lots of bad faith in this conversation. you accept fact this women's interpretation without questioning, without any research, without depth and being honest in an opposing view. You are part of the problem Rubin. You could do better, but you don't want that. Get an actual liberal on and let them address these things. Instead you embolden this false narrative.

Larry Elder has shown to use some pretty awful statistics. I appreciate you looking at a few data points, but as Coleman mentions, there is a selection bias that need to be accounted for. narrowly and importantly there is systemic racism in the judicial system; there are plenty of studies to this affect. Larry elder was wrong in this space and unacknowledged by Coleman and Rubin. good God. I agree there are perverse incentives for the welfare state and appreciate Colemans answer. it's frustrating that Rubin doesn't internalize this. he seems to agree, but let's his ideology move him ahead of rationalism. again these results from incentives turn into racial bias within the society. so it isn't simple as "ahh! it's wealth!" that's part of it.

I really hate these analysis of the left with no supporting evidence. Rubin rails against this being done on the left to the right, yet perpetuates it on the "right" himself, or let's his guests do it with no pushback! Even so, Katherine really misses some left wing interpretations of education, it's unclear if she is fully familiar with these ideas in American left wing thought.

Not a critique of Katharine but her microphone must be too close to her throat or there's something wrong with the volume. The loud swallowing sounds are incredibly distracting and hard to ignore. Otherwise, a very interesting conversation. Thank you for what you do!

Who told Rubin that he was intelligent? Because he's really running with that nonsense.

I am confused why a UBC implies a national registry. Why not an individual being able to prove a valid transaction happened (paperwork, blockchain, et cetera)? Even if they implemented UBC w/out these proof mechanisms, the law also signals social norms and is still important. Sting operations would still catch large private dealers, so it's not a total loss. Those ideas have been presented with UBC regularly, it's concerning he ignores them because of a faulty assumption to it's enforcement. I am glad they discussed the federalist principle of Reciprocity. I was dissapointed in his use of "gun free zones" in the rightist trope of being absurd. These laws allow a wider ability of law enforcement to act, not a kind gesture to not bring weapons to the area. There is also a signaling aspect, just like for UBS I mentioned above. Making arguments in the context of school shootings (that UBC would have prevented them) is myopic to the other (mis)uses of guns in society. Meh, just doesn't seem like a serious conversation with that sole context. I agree we need to deal with the social and economic issues in those areas, it is too bad that was mentioned within the last two or three minutes.

TrystalMeth Yes. Rogan wouldn't let her get a word in. she must have left the studio thinking she'd just wasted three hours. Dave Rubin really allowed her to get her thoughts across.
