Muchiri speaks with Richard Njau a co-founder of 4UP Digital, a digital enablement agency that helps its clients leverage the digital space by creating and distributing content that the public can understand and love. He speaks to Muchiri about how he ended up in the digital space, working with artists to promote their music, meeting a King in Benin and how organisations such as the African Union can make the mental digital shift.
Mobile phones serve different purposes today than they did 18 years ago. They also serve different purposes for users of different ages. While some above the age of 35 might thing of their devices as primarily for communication (call, text, instant message), some like my kids don't. For them mobile phones are about social media, consuming content from distribution platforms like YouTube and playing games. And since they have them in their hand they might send their dad or mum a text. But only might. In this episode, I try to explain what a pager is. I was absolutely NOT PREPARED for that question!!! Lawd. "what is a pager". How old AM I?!!! jeez
Muchiri caught up with Eldrid Jordaan, formerly of Mxit, Africa's most successful social network (now shuttered) and founder of GovChat. This episode was recorded in Tbilisi, Georgia during the 5th Open Government Partnership Global Summit.
