Biden plays with fire sponsoring the Gaza genocide, as US troops get hit with blowback, reinforcements rush to the Middle East, and the Pentagon escalates by bombing Iranian forces. Iran, Hezbollah, and other armed groups have a red line; how far can the US push before it's crossed? This episode includes critical information for soldiers about why and how they can resist being party to this genocide, and prevent themselves from being sacrificed by Washington.
Dozens of American soldiers captured during intense fighting in the Korean War came to understand the true reason for the US invasion, and sympathized with their so-called enemies. 24 chose to stay with their captors rather than participate in the prisoner swap–six who are immortalized in a photograph with a banner reading "We Stay For Peace." here's an uncomfortable meditation in light of your concern for international law: If the empire in question can function as useful idiots and be helpful for once in preventing, say, the Syrian Kurds being massacred by Turkey and friends, they probably shouldn't be discouraged. I support all of you but i'm going to remember how you guys, Blumenthal, etc framed this if there's a slaughter. Best wishes.

U.S. leftists shouldn't criticize Iranian human rights violations? That sort of standpoint epistemology is incoherent, eat shit, boys.

re: the "honest guys making mistakes" thing, ken burns' vietnam doc on netflix is like that. Just sort of skims over french brutality but goes into detail when they talk about mass killings in the ranks of Vo Nguyen Giaps organization.

The U.S.'s occupation of an opium rich country with a subsequent spike in opiod addiction (particularly amoung vets), seems like no coniscidence. what are y'alls thoughts/experiences with poppies in afganistan and the u.s.? IMO it's like we are immitating the Brits Occupation of India and Chinese Opium wars, except we're selling the crop to our own ppl.
