Do you ever experience FOMO? That is, the fear of missing out on something? In this episode we explore the idea of FOMO with Automotive Marketing Pros Mike Columbus, Jonathan Dawson, Ryan Gerardi, Cameron Moore, and myself in a discussion about the new audio drop-in app Clubhouse. Clubhouse is an audio-based social media app. The company describes itself as “a new type of social product based on voice [that] allows people everywhere to talk, tell stories, develop ideas, deepen friendships, and meet interesting new people around the world.” The app has now gone viral in the automotive community, at least among iPhone users because Clubhouse is only available on iOS. That is expected to change soon. The original discussion was streamed live last month on the Mobility Tech & Connectivity Show. This episode was produced by Ryan Gerardi from AutoBurst Media who also produces the AutoConverse Podcast. Ryan guides you in this episode through the discussion, letting you hear from each panelist what their experience with Clubhouse has been like, and how they see utilizing it in the time to come. There is a general consensus that the app offers a much-needed change in the way we connect in our industry.
