I found Laura through Art Juice, and listening to both podcasts are part of my art practice.

This is my favourite episode so far (I'm fairly new to this podcast, so have lots of catching up to do). I've listened to it twice today because it is full of useful thoughts and ideas around working in series, something I have felt I need to start doing for some time now, and I just couldn't take it all in in one sitting! Thank you for sharing your gentle but invaluable advice, and your wonderful conversations.

I've just listened to your podcast while painting! I was so looking forward to hearing you 2 again! I just couldn't believe your subject this week! I've been reading up for ages on what to buy in the way of a more professional camera for my artwork. I've always made do with my now rather old canon G11 or my Samsung S10. I'm also a keen photographer (usually on auto😁), but this advice was really good! I think I'll just hold on for a little while! I absolutely love your calm, gentle nature and the accents! thank you xx

I don't think you can schedule my creativity especially when other priorities come in place. In my case my uni work and my health which recently has had to be dealt with and have gone weeks without doing art but doing creative writing around my health ritue has been focused. But I'm trying not to concern myself with it cause I think it's all about balance. @tracey_morgan_illustrations

I budget by using an old cupboard that fell a part and I used it to make canvas.

Hey Laura, Just discovered your podcast and I am really enjoying it. Its great to listen to fellow Australian artists as I mostly follow and listen to overseas podcasters as there are so many out there. I really loved the tips in this episode as I really struggle with budget restraints. I particularly loved the one about working small first to gain clarity and direction on say paper before going to canvas or whatever else people use. I am really going to embrace that for several reasons firstly because I tend to work large and with lots of paint. Secondly, as an abstract artist I tend to lose my way too often and this will be a valuable method of focus for me. Keep up the great work. Thank you. Imma.
