Hey all, thanks for bearing with me while I dealt with some personal issues as well as tech problems, I know I skipped like two and a half months and that was not at all my intention!
Just to clear up any confusion going forward, this podcast is published every two WEEKS and the next episode will drop Thursday, 8/29/24. It will be The Evil Eye, a Giallo from 1963. I encourage you to watch the movie ahead of time, but it's totally OK if you don't, or you aren't sure about what the heck a Giallo is, all will be explained!
Similar past episodes of paranormal creepiness in large buildings to check out while you wait for the next drop:
259 - Down a Dark Hall (based on the Lois Duncan novel)
211 - Malevolent

Chaos is BACK to resurrect the pod and it starts with House of Wax (1953)!
A delicate genius sculptor (Vincent Price) loses his mind and almost his life when his business partner burns down his beloved wax museum with him inside. They say the best revenge is a life well-lived, and good ol Vince takes this to heart with a deadly comeback and dreams of living forever through his masterpiece of murder!
Highlights from Chaos include that crazy fire scene that put the actors in real danger, historical facts about the era, and Carolyn Jones’ head-spinning turn from the happily macabre brunette Morticia Addams to the eerily cheerful blonde Cathy.

This week, it's Maverick's birthday special, and the movie is horror - in a different way. It certainly scares Chaos, Carnage, and Just Joe as they join Maverick in the terrifying 1997 movie, Spice World.
Yes, that's right, Spice World. Maverick picked Spice World for her birthday episode. And since Chaos and Carnage are SUCH nice friends, they agreed to review her pick. And they agreed that they would try not to be malicious as they stomped it into the ground.
This, friends, is what occurred. Almost an hour of confusion, pain, and torment. Of merciless deconstruction. And random tangents on America's Got Talent. You know, the usual.
*This is a tongue-in-cheek pick from Maverick for her birthday, however, the pain inflicted on Chaos and Carnage from watching this film was very, very real.
FOR NEXT WEEK: It's the Flemish art house lesbian vampire flick, Daughters of Darkness, now streaming on Shudder. Go catch it for next Monday when we get back into the groove of actual horror!

This week, Chaos and Carnage thrust a shoebox with an annoyed pigeon at you and blindfold you with an old sock for a foray into that Netflix and Kill original, Bird Box!

This week, come celebrate Chaos' birthday with us as we take you on the B-Movie Love Train with 2-Headed Shark Attack and Sand Sharks, Brooke Hogan's two movies. Chaos wants to share the B-movie love with the PaN-cast crew for her birthday, and we all have a blast with low budgets, bad acting, terrible scripts, nonexistent editors and the bad kind of sick CGI.

It's time for another Chaos pick! This week, grab your binoculars, don't fear, and ride your motorcycle through a cemetery to join Chaos and Carnage for the horror classic, Phantasm! And a partial run down of the whole Phantasm series. Are you a phan?
Chaos and Carnage want to give credit to horror host Joe Bob Briggs for providing them with most of the trivia for this movie and also for the big job of attempting to explain the plot. Joe Bob Briggs recently hosted a Phantasm marathon on Shudder called The Last Drive-In: A Very Joe Bob Xmas. Joe Bob also gets credit for getting Chaos obsessed with the whole Phantasm series, which may or may not put him on Carnage's shit list. If you have Shudder, you absolutely should check it out.
For those missing out on Phantasm II, you can actually find it hosted by Joe Bob on YouTube here, at least as of this posting: https://youtu.be/BYKvRsrjJB0

This week, grab your desk fan and spider plant and join Chaos and Carnage for that event no one bothered to name, The Happening!
Join Marky Mark and a painting of those sad girls with the big eyes as they wander through an apocalypse that's oddly calm, maybe because the bad guy is wind. Watch people run from wind. Watch people kill themselves in contrived ways.

Then, for our movie this week, it's the 2017 hit, Happy Death Day! It's gothic. It's romantic. It's vampires. It's a western. And it's a family movie. Confused? Interested? Join us for Near Dark!
This week, it's a Chaos pick, and she's rather starry-eyed over the chilling vampire coven more than the Twilight-esque romance (Near Dark, Twilight, get it?) Carnage is more lukewarm on the family/romance aspects. Come for the deconstruction, stay for the banter with this week's pick!
