Nova Scotia, April 18-19, 2020 Over a period of thirteen hours, a 51 year old denturist carried out Canada’s most deadly act of mass murder. Dressed in a police officer’s uniform and driving a replica police cruiser, this murderer would leave a trail of innocent victims and burnt homes in his wake. In total twenty two Nova Scotians lost their lives including a pregnant woman, a RCMP Constable, and many other innocent victims who were unfortunate enough to cross his path. In this episode of Nighttime, we are again joined by Paul Palango to discuss recent developments in this still unfolding story and respond to questions presented by viewers of our live streamed discussion. At the time of her disappearance, 27 year old Holly Clark was pursuing her dream to be a professional musician in Hamilton, Ontario. However suddenly, and with little warning, she seemed to find herself on the brink of crisis. On the morning of January 10th, 2020 Holly phoned her parents in Calgary to request help returning home. During the call Holly would share the frightening, yet vague, details of a traumatic experience that led her to spending the prior night running for her life from either a real or imagined threat. It was obvious she needed help but shortly before her father arrived, she walked out of her apartment and into the cold air and pouring rain. In this episode of Nighttime we will again be joined by her past employer, and leader of the search team, Elle to discuss what we’ve learned in the months since Holly’s remains were found. A large cache of UFO reports recently found their way to the public eye thanks in part to the investigative reporting of a Canadian journalist named Daniel Otis. See, Daniel happened upon a database in which those involved in aviation report occurrences that could affect the safety and operation of our countries aircraft, airports, and airspace. and speckled amongst the many mundane reports of flat tires, rocky landings, and faulty valves are unexplainable reports of anomalous objects being witness and reported by our countries aviators. This may not be the smoking gun, or act of government disclosure we have been waiting for but it is certainly a collection of credible reports to be taken very seriously. and tonight we are going to hear all about it. In this episode of nighttime, we are going to be joined by Daniel Otis, the journalist behind the two Vice.com articles that rubbed our noses into Canada's relationship with whatever the hell is happening in our skies. Up until the last several years, Kimberley Lake lived a pretty typical life; a married mom, holding down a stable office job... but for reasons not fully known her life changed dramatically when almost in an instant she lost her vision almost fully. As you will hear Kim describe in this episode, her vision loss obviously created a tremendous amount of change in her life, but it also had a very odd side affect. Kimberley has repeatedly experienced the affects of Charles Bonnet Syndrome. If you are unfamiliar with CBS, like I was until last week, Charles Bonnet Syndrome is a condition in which people who recently lost their version experience vivid, and often intense visual hallucinations. In many cases, the hallucinations are patterns or objects appearing unexpectedly, however the hallucinations can also be horrific. Kim has seen Rats, spiders, Donald Trump, and even a corpse in her bed. Tonight, in this episode, Our guest Kimberly lake will share the story of her vision loss, and her visions. Since 1989, UFOlogy Research of Manitoba has been collecting data related to Canadian UFO sightings from a variety of sources. This data is compiled, organized, analyzed and made publicly available in an annual “Canadian UFO Survey”. In this episode, recorded just hours after the release of the 2020 report, we are joined by the survey’s editor Chris Rutkowski. Amanda Todd was still a child when she began to share her love of singing with viewers around the world on Youtube. Perhaps she was hopeful that she would be discovered like Justin Bieber, another Canadian youtuber, recently had. Like Justin, Amanda too found a sort of fame as a result of sharing her talents. Tragically, Amanda is known around the world not for her voice or her charm but as a cautionary tale about the evils that lurk all around us. As we know now, one of the people who was moved by Amanda's performances managed to sneak into her personal life, and infiltrate her inner circle. When Amanda shared an intimate photo, the anonymous predator would begin an odyssey of sextortion, harassment, and cyber stalking that would end in Amanda's death. Since taking her own life, over 50 million people have heard Amanda's story, largely as a result of a viral video she made shortly before her death. In the video, shot on a webcam in black and white, Amanda shares the her story by flipping through a series of index cards as she visibly sobs. Tonight, in this episode of Nighttime, we are going to hear Amanda's story by someone who has stood by Amanda through it, and still to this day carries on her search for justice, and continues her legacy. Our guest is Amanda Todd's mother, and well known internet safety and mental health advocate, Carol Todd. In the last episode, my guest Ian Rogers spoke both about his experiences investigating the Guardian case as well as the route this story took to being featured on a major CBC Documentary ‘UFO Town’. When I was putting that episode together I learned that my friend, and past guest of the show, Chris Rutkowski was one of the ufo investigators who received Guardian's mailings back in the 80s and 90s. I also learned that Chris was invited, but declined, to participate in ‘UFO TOWN’. I thought Chris would be the perfect person to invite here to help me both further break down the case, and discuss the UFO town documentary. In this episode Christ Rutkowski and I discuss CBCs ‘UFO TOWN’ and the strange strange world of “THE GUARDIAN” Links: Watch CBC’s UFO TOWN documentary: https://gem.cbc.ca/media/cbc-docs-pov/season-4/episode-11/38e815a-013b88b0411?cmp=pov-pareto-docs Watch the original Unsolved Mysteries episode about ‘Guardian’: https://youtu.be/J5xeTd4bPz8 Watch the unedited interview with Chris Rutkowski: https://youtu.be/cwv1yrU1woU In depth report on Guardian case by Mufon Ontario: https://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ciencia/ciencia_flyingobjects34.htm Credits: Musical Theme - Noir Tokyo by Monty Datta Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Nighttime Links: Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/nighttimepod   Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
the Carp, Ontario UFO case widely centers on an anonymous whistle blower using the name 'Guardian' who for a period in the early 90s sent strange packages to UFO researchers around the world claiming that world government’s were attempting to cover up the crash of an extraterrestrial craft just outside of Ottawa in Carp, Ontario. The packages included a rambling manifesto, photographs of purported aliens, and perhaps most interesting, a vhs tape containing video of what was supposed to be a flying saucer. Despite significant attempts Guardian was never identified. in fact.. they are still trying. Our guest is just the fella to walk as through this case. Ian Rogers is a present day author, but in the early 90s when the investigation into the guardian case was active, Ian was a teenage UFO investigator who managed to walk right into the middle of one of Canada's most bizarre cases. In this episode, Ian shares the stranger than fiction story of the Carp, Ontario “Guardian” UFO Case. In late April 2020, just after COVID19 began leading to widespread lockdowns, Nova Scotia was the setting for Canada’s worst act of mass murder, then just 3 weeks later another tragic story would bring the province to its knees. On May 6, three year old Dylan Ehler was visiting his grandmother’s home in Truro, NS. While playing in the back yard his grandmother Dorothy turned her back to put a dog on the leash and at some point during that moment of inattention, Dylan vanished. Despite nearly a full year of searching, the only sign of Dylan that has been found were his two rubber boots, found caught amongst debris in the waterways that flow a short distance from his grandmothers property line. To add insult to injury, the majority of the updates that surround this search don't involve progress being made in locating Dylan. They involve rumors, suspicions, online citizen detectives, ransom demands, and a cyberbullying case presently before the courts. In this episode we get into all of it. We are going to be joined by Dylan's father, Jason Ehler, and our topic is the disappearance of his three year old son Dylan Ehler. Lisa Marie Young was a 21-year-old indigenous Canadian who disappeared from Nanaimo, British Columbia on June 30, 2002. Lisa had spent her last known night at a local nightclub and several house parties, before accepting a ride to a fast food restaurant from a man she had just met. Her final communication was a series of distressing messages she sent to a friend suggesting she was being held against her will. Although Young has never been found, her disappearance is being investigated as a homicide. Although Canada is no stranger to murder, madness and mayhem, we have been very fortunate to have largely avoided the type of mass murders and shootings that have become common fixtures in other countries with similar cultures to our own. On April 23, 2018, Younge Street in Downtown Toronto was the setting of an event that many Canadians had taken comfort in thinking could never happen here. 25 year old Alek Minassian hit the gas and jerked the wheel of the rented cube van he was driving forcing the vehicle onto a busy sidewalk. For several city blocks Minassian used the vehicle to target pedestrians, killing 10 and injuring 16. In this episode of Nighttime, I am again joined by my best friend Scott to continue our discussion of the Toronto Van Attack. For the third part in this series, our focus is on the judge's decision in the case against Minassian.  Links: the Toronto Van Attack part 1 -https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/toronto-van-attack the Toronto Van Attack part 2 - https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/toronto-van-attack-2 Credits: Musical Theme - Noir Tokyo by Monty Datta Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Nighttime Links: Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/nighttimepod Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It started with a post to the UFOs Above Canada discussion group on facebook… “Im wondering if there are any people living in Kingston, Ontario. Since December 3, 2020 we have been taking pictures of crafts over our house. Up to 22 craft at once. I also have pics of craft with hatches open and small orbs flying out of them. We are 2 older people who were not looking for this experience, it came to us. I am not technically savvy and need a person to help us to identify, examine and file these pictures. If there is anybody in this group who can help we would really appreciate it.” In this episode, Candice and Onagottay share the details of their bizarre series of UFO experiences that began only months prior. yeah, i've never believed that the elisa lam case was ever foul play or anything creepy, honestly. there are records of her having bad mental health issues and to me, it seems clear that she was having an episode and simply ended up in that water tank by her own hand, albeit accidentally.

this was a great interview - i've never really considered julien as a suspect quite honestly. he seems genuine from all i've seen and read about him. there's definitely better theories on her disappearance in my opinion.

You two are a great audio duo! Very natural. Great episode and extremely easy to listen to.

caller is either crazy and actually full of complete shit. I can get behind aliens but i draw the line at "God and the Devil" and he completely lost me at the Predator demon bullshit and being at the actual death of Jesus. He just wants to feel special.

I don't like the new format with the co-host really dumbed it down and lost the edge.

terrible false clickbait. this was not a witch trial. this is the episode when i realized the people who make this show are more interested in views than genuinely presenting the facts. f*** nighttime.

Rarely has anything made me quite as furious as listening to that pathetic worm yammer his bullshit to that poor detective.
