you shouldnt focus on your down payment or your monthoy payment when purchasing a car. should concentrate on getting the best rate for borrowing money. 2% v 6% is a HUGE difference over the total term of your loan. the difference could total your down payment or even more. shop your rate around. credit unions your bank and ask what the dealer can offer. just some friendly advice
