What happens to NFL players once they’re off the field for good and are forced to confront the damage that’s been done to their bodies? As research continues to reveal its positive effects, more athletes are ditching their overflowing medicine cabinets in favor of cannabis. One of the most outspoken advocates for cannabinoid treatment is Kyle Turley, a nine-season offensive lineman who played with the New Orleans Saints, St. Louis Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs. In this episode, he joins Steve and Laura to discuss the harsh reality of neurological disorders players are facing after a career of contact sports, including ALS, early onset Alzheimer’s, and CTE. He explains how cannabis reacts with the endocannabinoid system to mitigate symptoms and promote brain health. You’ll learn whether cannabis or CBD is a good option for you, how to protect your children from injury, and Kyle’s evidence-based approach to healing his body without pills.   “These painkillers, they don’t kill nothin’. They just get you addicted and then they kill you.” -Kyle Turley Subscribe to the podcast on: Apple Podcast Stitcher Overcast PodBean TuneIn Radio   Plug in, Get connected, and Win prizes Turn on Steve's post notification on Instagram, comment and tag 3 of your friends who are not yet following @weatherford5 and have a chance to win prizes!   We love your feedback!
