Sam and Hannah Bose are a couple currently based in Oxfordshire with a shared love of photographing the natural world. Whilst Sam has a particular passion for landscape photography, Hannah focusses more on wildlife photography and capturing the more intimate details within landscapes. Their shared passion has taken them to some spectacular locations, including Iceland, the French Alps and most recently, New Zealand. In this episode of the podcast they discuss their trip to New Zealand and cover a number of topics that were not featured in their videos. This includes Hannah’s experience photographing gannets, and how they dealt with poor weather conditions and a tight schedule. Sam and Hannah document their photography trips via their YouTube Channel and you can view the videos from their trip to New Zealand here: www.youtube.com/samandhannahbosephotography In addition, you can see their images at www.bosephotography.co.uk where they have also recently started a written blog. Think of a tune you liked in the past. That song has defined a moment in your life that will be forever linked to that tune. There’s something about what the music is doing that shapes memory in a specific way so that each time you hear the tune you can relive that memory.  This is the power of music.  It triggers hopefully wonderful memories and can be as good as being there again. So now try to think about the above points in a visual context.  Photography is equally as powerful a thing in my opinion and I hope you agree. Join me as I talk about the emotional connection between music and photography. How are we to trust which competitions and offers are going to lead to exposure/gallery exhibitions etc and which are not genuine? Is the web now a place that you can't trust if anyone is actually going to further your career? Should we take things into our own hands and manage our own exposure and online presence? I'd love to hear any comments on similar experiences.  Website www.mikemolloy.photography  Twitter @mikemolloyphoto  Instagram mikemolloy.photography  Music: www.purple-planet.com Please support the podcast and allow it to remain add free by buying us a coffee.! https://ko-fi.com/openaperturepodcast
